“Nothing,” I grumble.
“Hmm,” he murmurs, then continues tattooing me.
An hour later, he’s done.
“Sit up. I’ll get the mirror so you can see.”
He holds up a big mirror behind me, and I smile widely when I see it. “It’s perfect, Rune. Thank you.”
“You’re welcome, princess. But don’t tell any of your Bratva friends. We don’t want them in here.”
I laugh. “I don’t have any Bratva friends.”
“Good.” He smirks.
I’m still admiring the tattoo, my loose bra held up against my breasts with my hands when Suit storms in.
“Elena,” he growls, taking in the scene. “What the fuck?”
I turn around to look at him, but his eyes are on Rune. “You’re just sitting here with my wife without her having a fucking top on?”
“I’m giving her a tattoo. I didn’t see her tits, don’t worry,” Rune replies, unbothered. He covers up my tattoo with a clear bandage and hands me some cream. “Put this on it. Suit will know what to do.”
“Rune. You crossed a line doing this without my permission,” Suit seethes, clenching his fists.
“She said she’s not your old lady.”
Suit’s eyes cut to me. “She’s my fucking wife.”
Rune looks over at me, then back at Suit. “I sent you a text and let you know because you are my brother. But if your wife didn’t tell you, that sounds like a you-and-her issue.”
He walks past Suit, who glares daggers at him the whole way before he turns that heat on me. “You didn’t think you should let me know you were going to my club’s tattoo studio today?”
I put my top back on, deciding to forego the bra. “We live separate lives, Suit. Just how you wanted it. Stop acting like I’m yours only when you think someone else wants me. You have no right.”
He exhales and closes his eyes like he’s gathering every ounce of strength not to lose his shit. “This is my world, Elena. I’ve let you do what you want, but this is going too far. Come on, get on my bike. Now.”
“Me getting a tattoo is going too far?” I ask, brow furrowing.
“You being here, topless around one of my brothers? Yes, too fucking far.”
“It’s his job. He wasn’t looking at my boobs,” I grumble, standing up and grabbing my handbag. “Let me go pay, and we can go.”
“I’ll sort it.”
He leads me outside before I can barely yell out a “Thank you” to Rune, who winks at me.
I get on the back of his bike and hold on tight. I haven’t ridden with him since that first time, even though he has asked me once or twice. My mind keeps going back to that first conversation I overheard. I was never Suit’s type from the get-go. I don’t know why I thought that might change.
When we get to the clubhouse, he leads me to his room and sits me down on his bed.
It’s my first time being in here. His room looks similar to mine, but his bed is even bigger, and his sheets are white.
“Show me,” he rasps, and my eyes widen.
“The tattoo?”
“Yes. I want to see my wife’s first tattoo.”
