“MAAAAAAAMMMMMA, we are hungry.”
Liza groans and I chuckle, “The boys want their breakfast baby.”
I press my lips to hers one more time before getting off of her. I slowly get up out of bed and head over to grab my sweatpants.
“I’ll feed them baby, you go take a shower.”
“Cane?”
I snap out of the memory and turn to see my brother standing next to me.
“Brother, we should go. She doesn’t want us here.”
I shake my head, “I’m not leaving her by herself. Peyton is a half an hour away. She’ll never get here in time if something is happening right now.”
“I texted Bella. She’s heading this way to sit with her. Did you check out to make sure she’s got a nursery set up?”
“I um,” I clear my throat, “I didn’t make it that far.”
“So how about we stop standing outside her bedroom, check out the room across the hall, make sure everything is set up and that she’s got her bags by the door and head out. At least give you that piece of mind.”
I nod my head, “Yeah, okay.”
He slaps me on the back, “It’s gonna be okay, brother. You’re gonna get your family back.”
I nod my head and we turn to check and make sure everything is ready in the nursery and as I predicted it is. She has a crib out together, a changing table, a glider in the corner, a dresser with a sonogram photo on it and I immediately turn my head that way to look at a picture of our baby. As I’m looking around I immediately spot two bags in the corner and head over to grab them.
We get downstairs and I see that Liza is still sitting on the couch doing different breathing. I drop the bags by the door and hear a car door open outside, but I ignore it and walk back towards the couch.
“Baby—“
Before I get the words out she puts her hand up, “Don’t call me that! Just stop okay? We aren’t like that anymore, we are just co-parenting. Like I said I’ll let you know when I have him.”
“Liza, can’t we talk about this? I want to be there for you, like right now. Are you in labor? Do you need to go to the hospital?”
“What I need is for you to leave. We can discuss everything after, okay. Bella is here, I just want you to leave. Take your brother and leave.”
“Liza, you should go to the hospital, please let me take you. Bella can stay with the boys! You’re being stubborn and ridiculous. You’re obviously in pain and in labor.”
“It’s just the beginning it’s fucking fine! Stop yelling the boys are fucking sleeping. If my water breaks Peyton I’ll be here to take me to the hospital and then Bella can stay with the boys. Now go!”
I stand up and can’t even deal with how she is acting right now. I head out of the house and towards my bike, I wait a couple of minutes before Cannon follows.
“Bella said she would let us know when and if she goes into labor while she’s here. It sounds like she’s in early stages of labor. What do you want to do?”
“What I want to do is go to the ring and beat the shit out of someone, but I can’t do that because it is possible that Liza could be going into labor. I might need to be at the hospital, even though I’m not wanted there and she told me she would tell me after the baby is born.” I look at my brother who is looking at me with concern in his eyes. “I know that I did some fucked up shit and I hurt her, but how the fuck can I fix this? It’s not all about what I did, I am also working against all the pain she suffered before she came here because that is weighing into what she is feeling. This whole situation is fucked.”
“Well, at least you know Isabella is with her and Peyton will be with her soon. Let’s also be honest and know that the entire Stone-Miller family will be headed this way with her. She doesn’t go anywhere without at least one of them with her. Plus all three babies.”
He’s right about that Whip and Fang are definitely very protective of Peyton. She has prospects and brothers with her all the time. I’m sure the med school she is going to is really appreciative of a bunch of bikers wandering around campus at all hours with her.
I sigh, “Doesn’t Peyton have school?”
“Yeah she does, but you know that she will probably try and do shit from home knowing that her nephew needs her.”
As we are talking a car pulls up and it is definitely not Peyton’s. It is a blue jeep and when the door opens a petite woman with an hourglass figure with a head full of long dark auburn hair, Rose. As she rounds the jeep she is wearing a form fitted top that you can see her barely there baby bump. She tries to ignore Cannon and I, but I walk away from my bike.
“Rose, hey. What’s going on? She told us she called Peyton.”
