I move my hand a little bit, my face still scrunched up in disgust as I take a deep breath to let them know what it is.
“Something lemon, maybe?” I manage before I smack my hand back over my face, my stomach turning violently.
“Kat…” I look up to meet Oliver’s gaze over Nico’s head, where he’s strapped to his chest.
It’s the cutest thing, seeing them wear our baby; they really are the best dads.
“When was your last period?”
I pull a face, confused about what that has to do with anything, before Desmond whoops loud enough to make me jump and Nico whines.
“Oh, sorry, big guy. Daddy’s sorry,” Desmond says, moving over to Oliver to press a kiss to Nico’s head, but his gaze remains fixed on me, his smile nearly splitting his face.
“What am I missing here? What does that nasty smell have to do with me having my period…” I trail off as I say the words aloud, the meaning dawning on me.
“Oh.”
“I’ve got Sofía bringing some pregnancy tests and a non-scented cleaner,” Alex says, sliding his phone back into his pocket before he leans in and nuzzles into my neck, making my toes curl in my shoes.
I’m glad Sofía could come to work for us. I didn’t remember everything at first, but I knew one thing: Sofía was just as much a prisoner as I was, and she was always great to me.
“This one’s going to be mine. Just you wait,” Desmond says, pointing a finger at Alex as if he did something. I mean, I guess he did since Nico is his, but it’s not like he had any more of a chance than Desmond did.
Actually, if anything, they all have less chance now that I’m with Oliver and Vince too.
“We can have all the babies you want so long as it’s healthy for me to do so. I always wanted a big family,” I tell them, looking around the room at the men who have become my everything, the family I never dreamed I would have.
“I feel like there’s a but in there.”
I smile at Vince because he’s right; he knows it.
“I don’t want to be a pregnant bride, so it’s babies or a wedding, not both.”
Desmond’s face falls like I just told him Santa wasn’t real, and I laugh.
“Kitten, that’s not fair. How are we going to resist this perfect ass long enough to plan a wedding?”
“We can plan it while I’m pregnant. You’ll just have to control yourselves for a little while. I can always get birth control,” I offer with a shrug, but judging by the deep growl from Nathan, I don’t think that’s going to be an option.
“Let’s see if I’m even pregnant first. Why don’t we?” I say with a smile just as Addison walks back into the room with Ruby, who she’d taken out to the backyard to move after so long in the crate.
“I’m going to be a big sister again!?”
Epilogue
It feels like we’ve been planning for this day for years, and having it finally happen almost feels like a dream.
In just a few hours, Kat will finally be our wife.
Finally.
Nathan had wanted to have the biggest wedding, a wedding fit for our queen, he said, but our queen had other ideas, and I can’t say I’m mad about it. Nathan has no issue throwing around a few million dollars, especially not for Kat, but Kat still isn’t used to that kind of thing, even after nearly five years of it.
Thankfully, one thing Nate wanted more than to shower her with everything is to make her happy. Which is why we're having the small, intimate wedding she wanted in Italy, at the villa they bought her years ago.
We have about seven vacation homes now, but this one is her favorite, and it’s just big enough to house everyone we want here.
Jade and her guys flew in early this morning; they’d been handling some work, but Hazel and her crew came in last night. I didn’t expect us to make friends with them, especially not when we first called for help with Carter, but after Jade helped us get Kat back, something clicked.
