Monster took another menacing step forward, fists clenched, and ignored the threat. Donal swung towards me, and I stared down the barrel of a gun. Monster froze. His eyes narrowed and flicked between us.

“Well, look at that,” Donal chuckled mockingly. “Has the monster grown attached to its plaything? You don’t want me to put a bullet in her pretty head? Her pussy must be made of gold.”

Monster’s nostrils flared as he glanced at me. He retreated, sitting back on the edge of the bed and staring at the ground.

Donal reached out and grabbed the back of my hair, fisting it harshly and yanking me into him. Searing pain shot through my scalp, and I couldn’t suppress the yelp that escaped my mouth.

Monster remained statue-like, every muscle in his body tense, his fists clenched, yet he refused to look up. Donal chuckled. “That’s more like it. See? He doesn’t have it in him to care. Let’s go.”

Something inside me ached as I stared at Monster, which was pathetic. He owed me nothing. For all I knew, he was one of them. Why would he come to my rescue?

The bunker door locked behind us, and then I was dragged up the stairs and into the sunlight for the first time in five days. Even though it was a dreary day, the sun burned my sensitive eyes. The sky was spitting in my face as Donal hauled me across the grass by my hair towards a car. I kept my eyes cast down on my soaking socks, which made me sadder than anything else.

A fabric bag was placed over my head before we drove for about fifteen minutes to another location. I counted my breaths the entire way, trying to stay calm. We arrived at a large, isolated house, and I was shoved into a grand room with black curtains and purple walls. I stumbled over the rug and blinked at the men around me. Sean McKenna lounged regally in a chair of the same velvet as the curtains, and three others sat on a sofa. They were at least in their fifties and leered at me with viper-like eyes. My whole body shook, and I looked down at my wet socks, refusing to let them see my fear.

“Gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to Soraya Buccini.”

I could feel their beady eyes raking over me, lingering too long on my tits and thighs. They all took puffs on their cigars, leaving me squirming in their presence.

“Soraya. It’s time for you to make another decision.”

I kept my gaze lowered and refused to look at him as my heart pounded violently.

“Write a letter to your family explainin’ my requirements. Your life spared in exchange for Arianna’s and Santino’s.”

My head snapped up, eyes wide at the mention of my brother’s name. That wasn’t what he wanted before.

He chuckled. “Did you really think your previous choice wouldn’t have consequences? Santino Buccini has disrespected me and continues to do so by keepin’ my niece, even though he has no entitlement to her. She belongs to me by blood, and I choose her fate. But if you’re a good girl for me, I’ll make sure his death is painless.”

My nostrils flared, and I dropped my gaze back to the patterned rug. Never in a million years would I demand that my family swap my life for my brother’s. Sean McKenna could get fucked.

Sean exhaled deeply. “Then you’re choosin’ the alternative? Okay. Gentlemen, what d’ya think?”

“Nice tits. But she’s a mess,” one sneered in a heavy European accent. “She’s older than I expected for a virgin.”

“She’ll scrub up well, I promise. Age isn’t what’s for sale here; only her pussy,” Sean replied. What the fuck was this? Was he… selling my virginity? “She doesn’t speak either, and she’s submissive.”

“Is that so?” the other, an Irishman, replied, smacking his lips together. “I’m still not sure she’s worth the price you’re askin’. Especially not if word gets back to the Italians.”

“As I said, they’ll never find out. You won’t need to worry about that. Unless you’re scared of the potential backlash,” Sean teased, prompting creepy asshole number two to glare at him.

I was still stuck on the words, ‘they’ll never find out.’ That meant one thing. He never intended to hand me back to my family alive. He’d use me to get Aria, then kill me anyway, along with my brother. He wanted a war with my family regardless. He just wanted the Russians on his side first.

I wanted to curse him to hell, but the words died in my throat. I stared at the floor, willing the angry tears not to fall. Whatever happened, they would not break me.

“We need to see more. The amount you’re askin’ for requires a specific inspection.” Asshole number one grinned, bile rising in my throat.

“Understood,” Sean said, pointing his cigar at me. “Take off your clothes, Soraya.”

My lips parted. All four of them stared at me expectantly with hunger in their eyes. I shook my head.

Asshole number one chuckled. “Submissive, you say?”

Sean leaned forward, his glare lethal. “Remove your clothes, Princess, or I’ll have Donal over there do it for you. You’ll like that a lot less. This is on your terms. You chose this. You know how to stop it.”

Whatever helps you sleep better at night, you manipulative bastard.

I swallowed and kept my eyes cast down as I reached up and slowly drew my arms from the sleeves of my dress. It fell to my waist, and all I could hear was my pounding heart and the crackle of their cigars. I pushed the dress past my hips and let it fall to the floor.
