“Tomorrow’s the final test and blood oath?” Apollo looked between us and we nodded. “Did he say what time?”
Sandro shook his head. “No. Why?”
“Because Zephyr is supposed to be here for that but they weren’t planning to arrive until tomorrow afternoon.” He picked up his phone and fired off a text, probably warning my father and making sure he got here on time. All the Givenchy’s would be arriving in New York tomorrow evening in time for a dinner that would kick off the week of celebrations before the wedding on Friday. “What’s he playing at? Why do this without Zeph, knowing that was the agreement?”
“Maybe he’s going to do Sandro, Marco, and Elio’s final test in the morning and save mine for when Dad gets here?” It really didn’t make sense to go against the agreement.
Sandro shook his head. “No. He’ll have all four of us go at once. Four people tied to a chair and we’ll all go to ours and pull the trigger at the count of three.” His eyes met Apollo’s. “Does the agreement specifically state he can be there for the final test, or just the blood oath?”
Apollo scrubbed his hands over his face. “I’m not even sure. It was a verbal agreement because until we arrived, we didn’t know he’d be taking the blood oath.”
Sandro nodded. “That’s why. With a verbal agreement, there’s no proof. He probably thinks he can go ahead and get it finished before the rest of your family arrives and then no one can say anything about it. If you were to break off the arrangement to marry Ari, you’d be breaking a written agreement and no one would back you up, so in theory, there’s nothing you could do if he went against his word. It’s just another power play.”
Apollo’s phone dinged with a message. “Zeph will be here tonight. He said he just told his security team to be ready to leave in an hour. Should put him here around dinner time.” He looked at Sandro. “Should we tell Lucian he’ll have another guest for dinner?”
Sandro shook his head with a smile. “Nah. The staff always has enough food and I’d love to see his face when he realizes he’s been outplayed.”
Chapter 14
Arianna
I’d been preparing for this for years, but that didn’t stop the unease as I walked through the door to the doctor’s office. This man was on my father’s payroll, so while he had a legit practice, he had very few customers that weren’t part of the Vitale family and he’d do absolutely anything my father told him to.
“Good morning, Ms. Vitale.” The receptionist greeted me warmly. She was always so kind and I wondered for a moment if she realized how crooked her boss was, or if she thought she worked for a good man. “I’ll let the nurse know you’re here.”
I never had to wait long in the lobby for my appointments, and today was no different. Vinny followed me through the door to the back area, but stayed outside the door of my exam room, making sure no one would get to me other than the doctor.
Part of me was surprised that I was left alone in this room with the doctor, especially since he’d be doing my hymen check today, but at the same time, I guess they weren’t too worried. If the man tried anything, he’d end up dead.
“Arianna. So good to see you again.” I smiled as Bethany, the nurse, shut the door behind us and took my vitals.
“You too. It’s been a while.” Since living in Crestwood, I saw the Givenchy family doctor, so I hadn’t seen Bethany in a long time.
After documenting everything on the chart, she turned back to me. “I see that some bloodwork has been ordered, so I’ll go on and draw that for you if that’s okay.”
“That’s fine.” If Sandro hadn’t warned us that my father wanted to make sure I wasn’t on hormones that would keep me from getting pregnant, I would have been caught off guard with a blood draw today. Thankfully, though, I was prepared and hadn’t started birth control in an abundance of caution.
As soon as the blood was drawn, Bethany placed a hand gently on my knee and looked me in the eye. “The doctor will be in soon to perform the check. Do you want me in the room too? I can hold your hand during it.”
I didn’t want to admit how out of control my nerves were right then, but the thought of having my hand held did make me feel a little better. “That would be nice. Thank you.”
Her smile warmed and she patted my knee. “Of course. Change into the gown on the chair, stripping from the waist down but leaving on your top, and I’ll be back in just a few minutes.”
When the door shut behind her, I hurried up and changed. I didn’t want to risk the doctor walking in when I was naked and getting a peek. Though, he was about to be all up in my pussy, so it really shouldn’t have mattered. He was going to get to see all my bits and pieces, and be the first person to ever stick a finger in me.
I wanted to gag at the thought of it. The doctor had to be at least sixty-five. I didn’t want an old man touching me down there.
Not that I would want a young doctor touching me either. Tucker and I were the only ones I wanted to know me intimately. If I had to have a pussy doctor, I wanted it to be a female.
A light knock sounded on the door, then the doctor and Bethany walked back in. “Good morning, Ms. Vitale.” The doctor smiled, but it didn’t calm my nerves. “Your father has ordered a hymen check in preparation for your wedding this week.” Bethany came up by my head as I laid back on the table and scooted down like the doctor directed. “This won’t take long, but it will probably be a little uncomfortable. I’m sorry about that.”
When he lifted the gown and looked at my mound, I wasn’t so sure he actually was sorry. I watched as the pupils of his eyes dilated, then I looked away. I couldn’t watch this old man get excited by violating me.
Even if I was laying here consenting to this test, it wasn’t because I wanted to. It was because I had to. I couldn’t refuse. I didn’t want to know what my father would have done if I’d refused. I also wasn’t sure that it would have stopped the doctor. He probably would have made Bethany strap me to the table then done it anyway.
Everyone feared my father. Even me.
I felt his fingers separate my folds and I swear, it didn’t feel like he had gloves on. Even without looking, I knew he had leaned in really close, examining me. His warm breath was a huge contrast to his cold hands.
