Geographic. “There is a music festival I will shoot.”
“It better not be next month you are traveling. I have a client
party where we’re unveiling their new product. They want it to
be a costume party, and I expect all my friends to be there. That
includes you,” she warned him.
The thought of still attending costume parties at his age was
for the birds. “God forbid I miss that.”
Lucy wasn’t taking no for an answer. “You’re quick to seem
uninterested, but you have no idea what you’re missing out on.
We did this once before and it was so much fun. This time around,
the winner of best costume gets a five hundred-dollar prize. I need
to start reminding Jack of this. I wonder if he would do a couple’s
costume. I mentioned it once, but he acted like it was the worst
idea ever.”
Alex laughed, he’d never do a couple’s costume, and he couldn’t
picture Jack doing one either. “Don’t blame him.”
“He’s putting up a fight, but I know he’ll do it because it makes
me happy.”
Alex planned to use that against his brother-in-law. “Once he
wears a matching outfit, he officially loses his balls.”
“You’re just jealous that you aren’t in love.” His bratty little
sister huffed.
Alex stopped and Lucy laughed. “One day, Alex, you’re going
to wear a couple’s costume. Mark my words.”
Without commitment, he responded, “We’ll see about that.
What are you going as?”
“Don’t you want to be surprised?”
“Who knows if I will even be able to make it.”
“You’re sworn to family secrecy,” she threatened him.“My fingers are crossed.”
“I want to go as Princess Peach and Jack will be Mario.”Alex doubted Jack would do dress up. “That’s yet to be seen.”
