“Yes, then I can dream about it and give you exactly what you want when the time comes.”

“I’m afraid you’ll find my fantasies boring. I don’t have any dick experience on my resume.” She’d fooled around with a handful of women, but he’d be the first man she’d been with.

“We need to get you some dirty books. They’ll give you all sorts of ideas.”

“If those exist among the hunters, no one’s been brave enough to share with me,” she snickered.

“We can figure out what you like easily enough. Tell me what you want right now.”

That was a loaded question she couldn’t answer. Elsie wanted him to take off the rest of his clothes. She wanted to know if his cock was as big as it felt underneath his pants, and how it would feel to have him sliding inside her. She wanted to let the fire threatening to consume her eat them both alive.

“Go back to what you were doing.” She tilted her head back, guiding his mouth down to her throat.

Saint smiled as he lavished her with kisses. “That’s a start.”

They missed breakfast. Coming up for air sometime close to lunch, they finally found the motivation to crawl out of bed. Elsie stretched luxuriously, then wandered into the bathroom for a shower.

She took her time, working a thick lather into her hair and scrubbing her body twice, making up for all the quick rinses she’d had lately. Showering took energy she didn’t have after a long day as Cornick’s favorite toy.

She came out squeaky clean, going into their shared room wearing nothing but a towel, making way for Saint to shower next. He sat on the foot of the bed, watching her select a new outfit from her meager supply.

Elsie felt his eyes on her and smirked. “Go get washed up, we have things to do.”

“Since when do we have things to do?”

“Since before we got here. Cornick has finally given us the opportunity to tackle our reason for coming. Time to do spy shit.” She cheesed.

“Yes, ma’am,” he groaned, standing like a rickety old man, creaking and shuffling into the bathroom while casting her longing looks.

“Idiot,” she snickered after the door closed.

“I heard that.”

Half an hour later, Elsie cracked open the door to the hallway outside, expecting to find their guards standing around and waiting for their inevitable escape.

“Huh.” She opened the door wide for Saint to come through. “I guess those guys were for Cornick’s personal protection, rather than the general population.”

“I don’t think he values his employees enough to think of using his guards to protect anyone other than himself.”

They stood in the hallway, looking in both directions. They’d only ever gone from their room to Cornick’s exam rooms and back. Even their meals were taken in one of those two locations. Elsie picked a direction and started walking.

“Neither of us has a record of randomly attacking people. We’ve always had a legitimate reason,” she said logically. “Cornick’s not worried we’ll go after someone we meet in the halls, but we’ve both given him reason to be concerned about his personal safety.”

“Deservedly,” she added when an argumentative look flashed across his handsome face.

They followed the halls through a confusing labyrinth for several minutes before coming to a large open space meant to mimic a town center. It was bright, with high ceilings and small trees in wooden planters. A cafeteria with tables dominated the center space, with a mix of entertainment and necessities lining the walls to box it in.

“If I weren’t seeing it myself, I’d have a hard time believing this is all underground,” Saint muttered.

A Quick Center handled minor medical issues, with healers ready to treat cuts, headaches, and sore throats. A mercantile had supplies, but it was set up like a department store, where the employees housed in the surrounding apartments had limited, curated control over what came into their homes.

On the far side, they had a skating rink, a basketball court, and a tennis court, all of which were occupied.

“I guess that’s one way of working some energy out, since we’re not allowed outside. I wonder if we’re the only ones trapped in here,” Elsie said.

“At least there are treats. When we’re finished, we can get some.” Saint nodded at a sweets shop with an ice cream counter inside.

“Whatever you like,” she agreed easily.
