“You’ve kissed that three times.”
“Your perfect body has more noticeable scars now.”
Her concern amuses me even if the reason behind it doesn’t.
“My other scars aren’t noticeable?”
“They’re subtle. These are rude.”
“Rude?”
“They’re still pinkish.” Her fingertip traces the mark before her eyes lift to mine. “They keep reminding me you were shot.”
“They’ll fade.”
“I know.”
“Then stop glaring at them.”
“I’m not glaring. I’m kissing.”
Her hand moves down my chest beneath the water.
I recognize the change in her eyes before her fingers reach the waistband of my swim trunks. She is no longer thinking about scars.
I catch her wrist.
“Elena.”
“The one on your thigh deserves attention too.”
She gives me an innocent expression that has never once meant anything innocent.
“We don’t have time for that.”
“Yes we do.”
“Plus, you’re being dramática.”
“I am not dramatic.” Her eyes narrow. “Don’t say that to me.”
I value my life enough to let my wife be right.
“Okay, princesa.” I lift her onto my lap.
She straddles my hips and wraps her arms around my neck. The water rocks gently around us. Sunlight catches in those gorgeous brown eyes, turning them amber when she smirks.
“You’re not dramatic, but you do have a fashion show tonight. If we start something now, it will cut into the time you need to get ready.”
“Sex will take, what—”
I raise a brow. “Careful, princesa.”
She giggles. “Thirty minutes, tops. We have time. I made the final adjustments last night, the models are ready, and Bianca flew in yesterday to help me manage everything. Please.”
“Reduced to begging, mi vida?” I chuckle. “With how often you change your outfit, I think you’ll need every one of those twelve hours.”
She releases a frustrated little groan before grinding against my lap.
