“I should come.”
“No.”
He lifts his head. “No?”
“If you come, Bianca will spend the entire lunch staring at you instead of listening to me. I need her to help make decisions.”
The corner of his mouth lifts. “Does Bianca stare at me?”
“You know she does.”
“I hadn’t noticed.”
“Liar.”
“I’m usually looking at you.”
He kisses the corner of my mouth.
“She won’t listen to a word I say if you’re sitting across from us,” I continue. “She’ll agree with everything, we’ll accomplish nothing, and I’ll have to schedule another lunch.”
“I can help you make all the decisions.”
He kisses my jaw.
“No.”
“Flowers?”
Another kiss beneath my ear.
“No.”
“Menus?”
His mouth reaches my throat.
“No.”
“Seating arrangements?”
“Absolutely not.”
“I’m very decisive.”
“You’ll put Rafael beside someone he hates for your own entertainment.”
“He shouldn’t have so many enemies.”
I push at his shoulders before he can reach the neckline of my dress. “You are not coming.”
“Fine, princesa.” He straightens, although his hands remain around my waist. “It isn’t as though I have anything to do here.”
“You have an entire criminal empire to run.”
“Business empire.”
“Of course. How could I forget?”
