I opened the door. Luciano walked through it.
“That’s different.”
“How?”
“He’s my guard.”
“Was. And that doesn’t answer the question.”
“What question?”
“The one you asked me.”
I look at the unfinished dress as if it might provide an escape route.
“Before the wedding,” I mutter.
Luciano’s fingers stop moving.
“Before the wedding what?”
“That was the last time anything happened with him.”
The fork makes a quiet sound as he sets it against the bowl.
“Anything?”
“It wasn’t full sex.”
“Obviously.”
“Then why are you looking at me like that?”
“Because you left the rest undefined.”
“I don’t want to talk about this anymore.”
“You asked first.”
“That was before I realized you would ask questions too.”
“I answered every one of yours.”
“That was a personal choice.”
A laugh rumbles beneath my ear.
I hate that he’s enjoying this.
“Would you prefer that I guess?” he asks.
“No.”
“His mouth or yours?”
My face catches fire. “Oh my God, Luciano.”
“His mouth or yours, princesa?”
