“Green,” I say. “Deeply offended, but green.”
He almost smiles. “Which part offended you?”
“He slapped her in the face.”
“He did.”
“Nobody is ever slapping me in the face.”
“Noted.”
“The spitting…” I pause.
Luciano waits.
“I haven’t decided.”
One brow rises.
“Don’t.”
“I didn’t say anything.”
“You thought it very loudly.”
The corner of his mouth lifts.
I point toward the room. “And absolutely no electricity.”
“Also noted.”
“I’m not being cattle-prodded.”
“That wasn’t a cattle prod, Elena.”
“It had electricity, and he pointed it at her body. Close enough.”
A low chuckle leaves him. “It’s called a violet wand.”
“That name is far too pretty for what just happened.”
His hand comes up to cup my jaw. “Everything before that?”
I hesitate. “The spanking made sense.”
“I thought it might.”
“And the flogger…” I shift on my feet. “That looked better than I expected.”
His gaze sharpens. “Curious?”
“A little. Especially when he started touching her.”
“But you don’t want pain to be the point.”
“Exactly. I can visit the graduate program. I don’t want to enroll.”
His thumb moves slowly over my cheek. “The graduate program?”
