“We’re not done training.”
“I don’t know how much time I have. Angelo has plans, and I need options. Preferably ones who won’t expect me to abandon my life and spend my afternoons arranging flowers in a mansion.”
Luciano’s arm tightens around me.
“You’ll have options before you need them.”
“That’s very confident.”
He releases me and holds out my sketchbook. “I am confident. Now, go get dressed.”
I take it. “You’re changing the subject.”
“Yes.”
“At least you admit it.”
“I’m taking you to dinner.”
My brows lift. “Is this another lesson?”
“No. We’re celebrating.”
I glance down at the sketchbook. “Her assistant might hate everything.”
“That doesn’t change what you made.”
My fingers tighten around the cover.
He says it like my work matters even if Evelyn St. Clair never sees it. Like reaching for something is worth celebrating before I know if I can keep it.
“One hour, princesa.”
I look pointedly at him. “An hour? You’re all sweaty, you have to shower and change.”
He smirks. “You seemed less concerned about that when you were hugging me.”
Heat races into my face.
I leave before he can enjoy my embarrassment any more than he already is.
Chapter 29
Luciano
The list.
The fucking list.
I have four names.
Only four, because I know those four men would never choose Elena Amato.
Zephyr Blackwell. Pleasure dom.
He wouldn’t choose her out of loyalty to me.
Loyalty to me.
