It terrified me.
He stepped fully clothed into the shower.
With my only weapon now useless, I wanted to flee, but he blocked the only exit.
The shower stream had turned his white dress shirt translucent, giving a glimpse of his chiseled chest and hinting at some sort of tattoo over his heart. The dark blue of his slacks turned to black as water seeped into the expensive fabric.
Most men would look like a thin, drowned rat standing there in soaked clothes—not him. He somehow seemed bigger. And strangely even more handsome in a magnetic way that made it hard to think straight.
The washcloth barely covered my breasts, but I held it with one hand as I stretched out my arm to hold him back. “I’m warning you. Not one step closer.”
He lunged.
I screamed and raised my arm to slap him.
His hand clamped around my wrist and pinned it against the slick marble tiles over my head.
Before I could scream again, his other hand wrapped around my throat.
With eyes that glowed with an unholy light, he growled, “Never threaten me.”
His mouth crashed down on mine.
I curled my hand into a fist and pounded against his chest, even when his tongue pushed past my lips, consuming me. I could only suck in a quick breath as he tilted his head to the other side and deepened the kiss, all the while keeping his hand on my throat.
I whimpered as the press of his lips forced my own against my teeth. Never in my life had I been kissed so hard that I could taste blood.
I twisted my head to the right to break the kiss.
It didn’t stop him.
His mouth moved down the column of my throat as he shifted his hand to wrench the washcloth, my only feeble protection, from my grasp.
With my other arm still trapped over my head, he ruthlessly palmed my breast while his teeth grazed along my collarbone.
I rose on my toes, crying out as he pinched my nipple. His only response was to pinch me again, harder.
Hot water pummeled against my cheeks while his tongue lapped at my skin.
Again, I tried to push him off. “Please…”
This was too much. I was drowning again, except this time, I couldn’t blame the champagne.
It was him.
All him.
I begged. I came. I broke. All in the span of a single kiss.
His mouth returned to mine as he rasped against my lips, “Give in to me, dolcezza.”
This was madness.
And I’d have to be mad to give in to such a request. Sebastian would consume me alive. He’d crush my bones to dust just from the force of his presence. As he was doing now.
I squeezed my eyes shut. “Please, don’t ask that of me. I can’t.”
“You can. And you will.”
