“Why you stop singing? Let me hear how good I’m fucking you, Leah.”

His stamina was impressive; the second round didn’t end until we were both winded and drained. Afterward, I went to use the bathroom and take a quick shower. When I came out, I saw that he was knocked out.

I stood in the bathroom doorway and watched Rocko sleep; he looked so peaceful. The way his chest rose and fell rhythmically made the corner of my mouth turn into a smile before I could stop it. He was perfectly still, like he was exactly where he wanted to be. Then I walked deeper into the room. Remembering the way that he owned every inch of my body threatened to make me orgasm again at just the mere thought of his hands and his full, wet lips tracing my body.

I’m in love.

If I hadn’t thought that Rocko was the man of my dreams before, this just solidified it. The way he left his mark on my body would stay in my memory for years to come.

I walked around the room, went to the couch, grabbed my cell phone, and then went to his Instagram page, just as I did every night. He posted a couple of hours earlier. It was a sponsored ad. A video of him at practice swinging the bat, made by the brand that was tagged. He looked so in his element.

I clicked the comments, always filled with groupies commenting on how handsome my man was. But nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Not that I would know it anyway, because he never responded to or liked any of it. He was so private.

He and I weren’t friends on social media, but that didn’t stop me from using my burner account to look at his stories without him thinking I was being invasive. It was too late for that now; the way he had just eaten me was a proposal in itself.

Leah Sanders has a nice ring to it. I thought.

Hearing him stir in the bed, I glanced up from the screen to see him turning over. I put my phone down and decided to lie with him. This was the first night that we spent together, so anything outside these four walls could wait. I had endless hours to finish my investigation; I only had a couple of hours until the morning.

When the sun peeked through the window, I was still wrapped up in that giant of a man. I smiled at the realization that we had cuddled all night. It should have felt foreign, but it felt so natural that, for the first time in years, I slept so well; I even had a dream I could actually remember. Apparently, I wasn’t the only one who felt comfortable either. I looked at the clock. It was nearing eight a.m., and he was still sleeping like he didn’t have somewhere to be in a few hours.

I eased his hand off my waist, slipped out of bed, and went into the suite's living room so I could wake him up for breakfast. I wanted to make sure that when he finally awakened, it would be to the smell of one of his favorites. I had seen a couple of different breakfast items in his Instagram highlights, so I decided to order them for him this morning. I sat in the living room, going through my emails and responding to the ones that I could, until room service knocked on the door.

Then I set my phone down, went into the room, and slid the cart to the edge of the bed before tapping him to wake him up. His eyes searched the room wildly at first, then landed on me, and he focused, frowning in a way that made me frown too.

“Good morning.” I all but scoffed, not feeling the warm welcome that I felt I deserved.

He cleared his throat and sat up.

“My bad. Good morning.” He apologized, sat against the headboard, and reached out to rub my leg gently.

“I ordered us some breakfast.” I smiled as I nodded toward the cart just a few feet away.

His eyes went to the cart he hadn’t even noticed, then to the clock on the nightstand.

“Uh, I appreciate it, but ummm…. I gotta get going; I got some meetings and shit I need to handle today.” He explained.

The frown returned as I practiced counting down in my head.

Calm down, Leah.

Calm down, Leah.

Think of five things you can see, four things you can touch, three things you can hear, two things you can smell, one thing you can…Fuck it!

I kicked the cart, making it hit the wall with a loud thud.

“Well, excuse the fuck out of me for trying to be nice and make this morning a little less awkward.” I snapped, unable to hold back.

I got up from the edge of the bed and stomped through the suite to find my clothes still in a pile in the front.

He caught my arm.

“Calm the fuck down, Leah. I didn’t mean it like that. But you're right. Come on, sit down and let’s eat.” He exhaled. “And watch your mouth.” He said as he slapped my ass and pulled me against his body.

Instantly I calmed down. The way he just got me together made my middle do the bachata.
