Still, she doesn't move.

I lean in slowly, giving her every opportunity to pull away. Instead, her eyes flutter closed and she tilts her face towards mine.

That's all the permission I need, before I press my lips to hers.

Chapter 34

MOLLY

Enzo kissed me.

This man who plays a long, slow, careful game has caught me by surprise and made a move I didn't expect.

He gave me a kiss I didn’t know I was craving. The softest press of his lips against mine, and yet my entire body tingles with an urgency that startles me. Then he does it again. I close my eyes as heat coils low in my belly.

But the kiss is over almost as soon as it began.

My eyes fly open.

He’s staring at me, then he sits back, watching me. Waiting.

For me.

I lean forward until my face is inches from his. Our lips are so close I can feel his breath against mine.

Then I kiss him.

A sigh escapes his lips and something changes.

His hands come up to cup my face as the kiss deepens, all that restraint disappearing. My fingers slide into his hair. His mouth moves over mine, hungry now, and I press closer, wanting more of him.

We're still half kneeling on the floor, Jenga blocks scattered around us, when his mouth leaves mine and moves along my jaw.

“Oh.”

The sound slips out before I can stop it. He draws back just enough to look at me.

“This,” I whisper, still trying to catch my breath. “This is a kiss I’ll never forget.”

His mouth finds mine again, but there’s still something restrained about the way he touches me. His hand moves over my side, then stops, like there’s a line he won't cross.

I take his hand and his eyes meet mine as I guide it higher and hold it against my breast.

For a second, he doesn't move.

Neither do I.

But a fire races through me. Flames lick my body. My breasts peak. Liquid heat dampens my panties. The look in his eyes sends another rush of heat through me. He wants me. Enzo Knight, with all his restraint and control, wants me.

And I want him too.

It’s been so long since I’ve wanted this with anyone. Longer still since I've wanted someone this much.

“I want you,” I whisper.

Surprise flashes across his face.
