The side of her face, wet with tears, rubbed against mine as she nodded.

My stomach began to flip with nerves. “Shit.” How do I fake that?

From the living room, Onus taunted, “I don’t hear any fucking.”

Laughter boomed through the wall between us.

I asked, “Where are Chubs and Roam?”

“Sent on club business.”

I swallowed. I couldn’t even ask them for help.

Frustrations had my fear growing into anger. I was getting sick and tired of being trapped. I wished I had a gun. I would’ve shot Onus in the leg. This was disgusting.

Still in my arms, Tabi patted my chest to get my attention. “He suspects you never had sex at the rally.”

“I didn’t.” Why does it fucking matter?

Knowing what was being asked of me—forced on me—I kept getting madder. I didn’t want this. Memories of Piercer raping Ani were now flashing inside my mind. But what would happen if I refused?

I asked, “Are you crying because you’re afraid of what he’ll do if we… don’t?” Did she know more than what she was telling me?

Just then, my bedroom door swung open, causing me to release Tabi and spin around defensively.

Onus’ looming form stood there blocking any escape. “She will suffer like you’ve never seen.”

From what I had already witnessed while in Titan care, that statement was beyond chilling.

My stomach turned. “Who?”

As soon as I felt Tabi step behind me, I thought, No, show no weakness.

He held the top of the doorframe, his large arms flexed, while he observed Tabi hiding. “Maybe I should make you choose.”

Damnit.

The reason for his new rage was baffling me. “Why are you doing this?”

The kitchen light behind Onus made him even darker and more threatening. “You said you didn’t lie.”

Struggling to hold on to my sanity, I growled, “I don’t.”

“Did you fuck that girl at the rally?”

Had I been ratted out? “No.”

“Then you lied.”

“No. You never asked me about it. You assumed the deed was done.”

Silence lingered… Then he warned, “No more Rya. Fuck Tabi.”

“Dad—”

The beast in him awakened. “Fuck Tabi! Or Rya pays!”

“Why?” I begged, fighting my own maddening hysterics. “Just tell me why?”
