I laughed briefly. “I miss your taste on my tongue.”

“Stop it.”

“I miss how tight your pussy clenches my cock.”

Fuck, I was hard, and I wanted nothing else than to drop to my knees and tongue-fuck her until she came before I lifted her against the wall and drove myself inside her.

“Stop it.” This time she pushed me away, but I still had my hands braced on either side of her.

“Why are you doing this?” She glared at me.

“I’m not going to stand by and watch another man raise my son.”

“It’s not like that! I will not deny you visitation.”

“That’s not enough.”

She huffed a breath. “I was going to ask you if you wanted to spend more time with him.”

“What? Half a day? I want him to live with me.”

“Do you even know how to take care of a baby?”

“I’ll figure it out, but I’d prefer it if you came along with Sebastian.”

“Why do I feel like this is entrapment to join the bratva?”

“Dom called,” Ivy said. “He was trying to reach you, but you left your phone at the table.”

“What happened?” Chloe’s voice rose in direct hysteria.

“Someone broke into your apartment.”

I shouldn’t have left him. I shouldn’t have left him. Self-recrimination hammered me hard; I didn’t know how I'd ended up riding in Kolya’s SUV. All I remembered was rushing from the hallway and being at the top of the stairs leading to the exit before becoming aware that I had no way of calling Hudson because I’d forgotten my purse, which had my phone.

In frustration, I turned around, only to see Kolya behind me, and he’d twisted me back around and ushered me outside. I blocked out the harsh words exchanged between him and Daniel. All I cared about was who could get me to my son the fastest.

“It’s my fault,” I finally whispered when Kolya was done with his phone conversations.

“Wasn’t Dora with him?”
