She stood naked in the clearing, flecks of strawberries still smeared on her torso, but she didn’t cover herself with her arms. A confidence had come over her, and she lifted her chin in defiance. Bruce needed proof of her loyalty, and by offering him her most precious possession, she would prove it to him.
“Will ye nae undress me?” Bruce asked, teasing.
Elspeth bit her lower lip and stepped forward. She helped him take his shirt off and trailed a finger across the tuft of hair on his chest, tracing the line down to the scar on his abdomen and then lower to the drawstring of his pantaloons.
“Careful,” he said. “There’s no going back once ye unleash me.”
Elspeth looked up at him carefully, and then she winked at him and pulled at the drawstrings. Neat hips plunged down, and Elspeth didn’t know what to expect. The erect manhood standing to attention was the last thing she had imagined.
Fascinated and highly aroused, Elspeth traced her finger along its length. It twitched, and Bruce shuddered, a sigh escaping his lips. Gaining confidence from his reaction, she stroked the length again. It was hard and warm.
“Enough!” Bruce growled and pulled her up. He took her mouth in a passionate kiss, his hands grasping her buttocks and squeezing. “It’s my turn.”
He laid her down gently on the saddle blanket, his hand tracing a circle around her belly button before tiptoeing down between her legs. The wet gush had become a trickle, and Elspeth clenched her thighs so he would not sense her embarrassment. But Bruce nudged her thighs apart, and his fingers circled the hard nub that had given her so much grief a few days ago. Now she understood why it had throbbed and ached so much. This was what it had wanted, a cacophony of pleasure that set her limbs on fire.
“Oh, Bruce!” she moaned. Her back arched of its own, and she nearly screamed when Bruce dipped a finger inside her wet warmth. “Please!”
“Does it hurt?” Bruce asked, removing his hand, and placing it on her belly.
“Nae!” she said, breathless. She placed his hand back between her legs. “I’ve naught felt anything like this my entire life. Ye make the stars shine brighter, Bruce.”
He smiled down at her and kissed her gently. “Yer the most precious woman I have ever ken,” he said, and shifted so he was now on top of her. “D’ye trust me, Elspeth? D’ye trust I will never betray ye?”
“I trust ye with my life.”
“Will ye give yerself to me?” he asked.
“I am already yers,” she said, kissing the tip of his nose.
“It will hurt,” he warned.
Elspeth reached with her arm and caressed the length of him, guiding him to the entrance of her wetness, pulsating with desire. “Ye forget that I’m a Scottish lass. We donae fear pain.”
Bruce kissed her, and a moment later plunged his manhood inside her gash. Pain seared through her like a hot brand. Elspeth cried out. Bruce halted, his hips flush against her, entirely inside her. He filled her up, and she tightened around his throbbing rigid phallus.
“D’ye want me to stop?” he panted.
Tears fell from her eyes, but she shook her head. “Nae,” she said. “’Tis a happy pain. Donae stop, Bruce. Please.”
Slowly, taking care not to hurt her more, Bruce rocked his hips, building a momentum, until the pain receded and the pressure she had experienced at the inn built at the center of her. Bruce stroked her buttocks with every thrust, his lips trailing kisses between her breasts. Elspeth was lost to the sensations of her body and the pressure that kept mounting, and mounting, winding her tighter and tighter until she felt she would explode.
“Elspeth!”
With a final thrust the world did combust into flames. The pressure was obliterated, taking her on a tide of exquisite joy, every fiber of her being singing. Bruce collapsed upon her, completely spent. Their limbs interlocked; their scent mixed together so completely it was a fragrance of its own. Elspeth sniffed notes of Bruce’s musk and what she realized was her own sex. It was a pleasant scent.
They lay there as the night progressed, dipping in and out of sleep. Elspeth was at peace, a feeling she hadn’t known in many years. She was wanted, she was desired, and felt more like a woman than she had in her life. It was all Bruce. He had touched that part of her and brought it under the sun, letting it thrive in the light of his attention.
Tomorrow the world would return to them with its problems. In that moment she didn’t want to think of the consequences of their journey and finding the Honors. That didn’t matter for the time being. What mattered was that in that moment they were the only two people in the world under a canopy of stars.
