Aleck sighed into her ear. “Ah, the dreams.”
“What were they?”
“Do ye nae ken what ye do to me every night in my dreams?” he asked, grazing her jaw with his nose, one hand trailing up to rest just below her left breast. She arched her back involuntarily, so her head was resting on his shoulder, her mouth an open invitation.
“Nae.”
“Would ye like to know?”
Evanna didn’t trust herself to speak. She nodded. Aleck took hold of her hips, pulled her sharply against him and took her lips in a deep kiss. Evanna was dizzy with desire. Something hard pressed against her derriere and she felt her hands fall to her side, grasping Aleck’s arms to anchor herself more strongly to him. The tartan she wrapped around her fell open, and her breasts were exposed in their delicate wet cotton cocoon.
She had never been kissed, and certainly never like this. His tongue was playing havoc in her mouth, exploring her. His hands were doing something similar. Stabs of pleasure pumped through her as his hands massaged her hips, dipping lower and lower between her legs. A wet warmth pooled between her legs that had nothing to do with her soaking clothes.
“Aleck!” she moaned when their lips finally parted.
“Do ye want me to stop?” he asked.
“Nae,” she whimpered. She should have told him to stop, she should have put an end to this, but her body was on fire. She needed him like she needed air to breathe. She turned and slid her hands across his firm chest, her fingers tangling in his hair. “Show me what ye see in yer dreams.”
Aleck groaned, his jaw tightening. She felt his hands grip her harder to him. She recognized his frenzied heartbeat under her fingers because it matched her own. She no longer cared for the consequences. All she knew was - he loved her, he loved her, he loved her. She was the woman of his dreams and no one else, and wherever this moment in time carried them, she was willing to go. Nothing could invade this piece of paradise, not even the storm.
He kissed her forehead, his lips tender, his embrace sweet. His lips trailed kisses down her cheek and along her jaw, his hands caressing the small of her back. This was all she had imagined and more. To be in his arms was to know true happiness.
Her own hands weren’t idle. They held on to his shoulders, one hand anchoring behind his neck as his hands trailed further down and she felt his need pressing against her.
Soon his kisses became more insistent, his hands cupped her aching breasts, and she felt her knees buckling. He held her firm against him, laying her gently on top of the makeshift tartan bed.
His teeth grazed her shoulder as he removed her the sleeves of her shift with his mouth. His hands were busy exploring the curves of her body. Evanna inhaled sharply as he circled the gates of her secret self, lightning shooting from the pit of her stomach through her thighs. She was unprepared for when he dipped a finger in.
“Oh!”
“Did I hurt ye?” he asked, his rough thumb caressing her taught nipples. He was playing her like a fiddle, strumming her to elicit melodies only they could share.
Biting her lip, Evanna shook her head. Gaining confidence, she paid him with the same—the bulge in his breeches was a firm mass against her hand, filling up her palm. She pulled at the drawstring holding the breeches in place, and her hand was full to the brim with him.
Aleck hissed with pleasure. Evanna stroked the length of him. He was a mighty man, strong, and hard. Evanna enjoyed the way her hands were pleasing him. She enjoyed the power she held in her hands; the power over him was intoxicating. Was this how he felt when he pleasured her? It was a heady feeling; one she wanted to explore more.
An urgency was building in her. His ministrations between her legs, the teasing and playing with her nipples, the line of kisses along her neck and earlobes were driving her mad with the need of him. She needed to be possessed by him; she needed to be his in every way.
“Aleck,” she pleaded. “Please.”
Aleck hesitated only for a moment. Then he kissed her tenderly and claimed her.
It was pain and ecstasy, one and the same. It was the epitome of the love she had known for Aleck - pleasure and pain cohesively brought together to form something unforgettable.
Aleck kissed her, whispered sweet nothings in her ear as the pain subsided leaving only pleasure in its wake. Evanna again felt the building of a pulsing urgency within her. It built up, up up; she was reaching for something and then, all of a sudden, it came crashing down on her until she was nothing but a shell on the sea foam, being carried on wave upon wave of pleasure and joy.
They lay spent on the floor, the fire warming their entwined bodies. Evanna laced her fingers within Aleck’s hand. He loves me, he loves me, he loves me. Had she ever known such happiness?
Thunder rolled across the fields, and the sky began to lighten. Just like the storm had spent itself and scattered so had her worries. Aleck loved her. Aleck was Scottish. Aleck would not take her away from her Da. It was perfect!
They would go to the castle and explain everything to Laird MacLeod. John would understand. He hadn’t even proposed yet, so there was no danger of offending him. Ashton would be pleased, Evanna was sure. She could imagine his smug face. The thought of it made her smile.
Aleck was asleep beside her, his hands draped across her chest in a protective manner. If death had to come for her in that moment, she would have gone happily enough.
He loves me.
He loves me.
