“We’re going to have to be quick and quiet,” he warned, but May still nodded eagerly, “We dinnae want someone in the hall to hear us.”

There was no lock on the door, and Iain knew that they were risking everything, but in the heat of that moment, he couldn’t have cared less.

He pushed the various pieces of material that covered her to the side and finally positioned himself at her entrance. May bit her lip to muffle the gasping sound that escaped her as he started to push in.

She clenched around him and gripped onto his shoulders as he pushed in even further. Iain grunted through the pleasure and pressed his lips to May’s in order to stop her from being too loud. He couldn’t help but smirk against her as he pulled out and then pushed back in, building up a rhythm. May was so heavenly tight and small underneath him that it only sent more waves of pleasure running through him at the sight of her trying to control herself and failing.

It was a vulnerable side that he knew nobody else had seen of her, and he liked to know that he could make her feel so good that she was a moaning mess beneath him.

Her back arched and her fingernails dug into his back as Iain started to thrust even faster in and out of her. He dipped his head so that he was biting and sucking at her neck, like an animal.

“May,” he groaned her name as she tried moving her hips with his to match the rhythm, “Ye feel so good.”

“I’m close,” May tried to whisper, but her words melted into a string of moans. “Oh, Iain.”

He wanted to tell her that they were going to have to be quieter, but he could feel his own climax beginning to build up and couldn’t bear to deny the satisfaction of hearing her moan his name.

“Iain,” May groaned, “Iain.”

He sighed and tried to shake off the memories that had been so vivid.

“Iain,” May nodded to him curtly, as she waited with two saddled horses by her side. There were servants around the stables that were ready to cater to her every need should she want something.

He held his hands clasped in front of his crotch to try and hide the way that his member was slightly hardened at the memory of May squirming underneath him. He felt so conflicted as he looked up at her now and watched the way that she effortlessly mounted her horse with no trouble.

“Are ye coming?”

He nodded slowly and followed suit.

They rode through the paths that had been trodden due to constant use of the locals, and Iain felt instantly at home once more. He thought about how harsh he had been to May, and although he was still angry, he felt that things were different after their kiss.

This is lust speaking, he told himself and scolded the way that he was softening toward her already. He shook his head and squeezed the horse with his legs, propelling him into a gallop to keep up with May’s pace.

The land around them started to slope upward, slowing down their pace and allowing Iain to take in more of the scenery. It was just as he had remembered in his mind. The greenery appeared even more luscious than normal in the wake of the most recent downpour. The earthy smell of wet dirt rose up to meet them as their horses kicked up mud with their hooves.

Iain watched as May’s hair bounced with the pace of her horse’s gallop, she looked so free and independent up there. He knew that she would have been fine without ever seeing him again, she would have found peace in a man that would also allow her land to benefit from the deal. Iain grit his teeth as he thought about that, but he was just glad that everything in life had led her back to him.
