As he fills a plate, I take a sip of coffee. It’s strong and rich, absolutely perfect.

Caleb delivers a plate containing three times more food than I’d load it with, and I protest.

“You’ll need your strength,” Lucian observes.

When both men have served themselves, they join me.

Sunlight filters through the room, and I’m struck by how startlingly ordinary the moment is.

Me drinking coffee. The three of us ignoring the outside world.

“Who called?” Caleb asks.

“My mother.”

Both men’s attention sharpens immediately.

“Is everything okay?”

“I think she was shocked to learn I married two men.”

They exchange glances.

“She took it well enough.” But I’m still mad that my dad didn’t give her a heads-up. “And evidently she talked to Julien Bonds? And he’s a very nice man.”

“Bonds?” Caleb nearly chokes on his coffee.

“He’s a genius,” Basil supplies loyally.

Lucian rolls his eyes.

I finish my coffee, and the men clear their plates.

“Can you be ready to go in half an hour?” Lucian asks.

“Go?” I look between them. “Go where?”

“We have a surprise in mind.”

I narrow my eyes. I’ve had enough of their surprises.

“This one is nothing like last night. Memorable, but in a different way.”

“Does it have anything to do with sex?”

“Not even a little bit.”

Which leaves me wondering… What exactly do two depraved billionaires do on their honeymoon?

Chapter Thirty-Five

Sophie

“You can’t be serious.” I gasp when we step out on the Bella Rosa’s rooftop and there’s a sleek, shiny helicopter waiting for us.

The fact that the rotors are still doesn’t make it look any more safe or intriguing.

Looking at them, I set my chin. “You’re not putting me in that.”
