“You didn’t come,” I said in surprise.

I didn’t wait for him to answer as I bent down, rid him of the condom and took him into my mouth. I tried to pull him inside completely, but he was too big, too thick. He was delicious though, just as I imagined. I licked and sucked the tip of his dick, licking off the drop of desire that appeared there. He moaned and thrust his hips up. I couldn’t believe it, but I was getting turned on again. I spread his legs and began to play with his balls, squeezing them gently as I licked his shaft from the tip to the base, tracing those little veins with my tongue.

He hardened as I sucked him into my mouth again and I knew he was about to come. I let my wet mouth slide up and down his shaft going faster. And then he reached a hand down and gripped my hair, gently, not hurting me, but not allowing my head to move either. He controlled my movements, making me swallow more of him as I sucked him hard.

He abruptly pulled my mouth off him and came. I watched him come, feeling like a warrior princess.

He was still breathing hard as I snuggled next to him. My legs felt like spaghetti and I was worn out. My eyes closed, even though I tried to will myself to stay awake. I placed my head on his shoulder and fought sleep. I felt kind of unsure now. I had just had sex with him, but I didn’t really know him. What was I supposed to say? Did I stick around? Was I expected to leave? I was feeling very much out of my element. Obviously, this wasn’t one of those situations where I was supposed to skulk away, right?

“So, tell me more about yourself, Ty,” I said sleepily. I didn’t know what to do next but I thought it would be a little presumptuous just to take over his bed without at least talking to him.

“What do you want to know?” he said, pulling me closer and lazily stroking my arm.

I didn’t know where to start, so I went with my first pressing question, “Why did you let things pitter out at my door the other night?”

“Hmmm….” he said thoughtfully, rubbing a hand down my hip. “I don’t take intimacy lightly.”

I sat up on my elbow. Now I was awake. “Explain.”

“Nothing to explain,” he said, “I’m just careful about who I sleep with.”

“That’s like the opposite of most men.”

He shrugged in the darkness and then said, “I guess you’re right.”

“You could have fooled me. You come across as some sort of playboy, womanizer.”

“Nope. I’m just a tease.”

I smiled in the darkness and he leaned over and kissed my nose. It was sweet, endearing even. And I felt a stirring that had nothing to do with what was going on between my legs and everything to do with what was going on in my heart. Uh-oh. I was falling for him.

I laid back down and I snuggled closer, wanting the intimacy of being held in his arms. He happily wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close.

He kissed my forehead then and I traced a hand down his face, admiring his handsome features in the moonlight. “So, let me guess,” I said softly, not wanting to deal with my newfound feelings at that moment, “Your parents were high school sweethearts and stayed married for like a hundred years.”

He laughed. “I wish that had been the case. My parents couldn’t get it together. They were never married but broke up while my mom was still pregnant.”

“I’m sorry.”

“Don’t be. My mom left me to be raised by her parents, but they were just as neglectful as she was, so I ended up living with my dad’s parents. I saw my mom randomly over the years and only saw my dad on certain holidays.”

“They definitely wouldn’t be up for any parents of the year awards.”

“Only if they gave awards for the most neglectful parents in history.”

“So how was that…. being raised by your grandparents?”

“Probably the best thing that ever happened to me.”

“Besides meeting me, you mean.”

He laughed. “You think very highly of yourself, don’t you Piper?”

“Only on the weekends when I don’t look like a slob.”

I could hear the smile in his voice as he said, “I need to stop by randomly while you’re working one day and see the real Piper.”

“You’ll run away screaming.”
