“Hey.” I leaned back, cupped his jaw, and made him look at me. “What made you ask that?”

He licked his lips. “I’m just trying to make sure you’re good. I ain’t ever done this before,” he answered. “Making you and Judah happy are my top priority.”

“And we are,” I reassured him. “Have you seen how Judah reacts when he sees you? He always wants to be with you, show you what he’s done at school. Even started working out because he saw you doing it.” I searched his eyes, hating the fear that I saw. “What makes you think we aren’t happy?”

“We are in a hotel, right?” he answered, and I nodded. “You have a house; I have more than one, and yet we are sitting in the presidential suite of a fucking hotel because I’m probably bugging about smelling something weird in your house.”

I wanted to tell him he was wrong, but I didn’t. No one had been in my house; my security system hadn’t alerted me to anything, and I had Nine and Cross double-check to make sure. They couldn’t find anything. More than likely, Judah forgot to lock the door behind him when we left.

“Do you think this is where we need to be?” I asked him, and Four nodded. “Then there’s that.”

He rested his forehead against my stomach, then kissed it. “I feel like I’m fucking up.”

“You aren’t,” I reassured him. I cupped his jaw again. “Uri, you aren’t fucking this up.”

He stood, towering over me by at least a foot, yet I didn’t feel small. He put his hands on my waist, lifted me, and my legs went around him.

“Is it too early to tell you I love you?” he asked, searching my eyes. “Because that’s how I feel. I don’t remember a time when I didn’t love you. Even as kids, through all the shit we went through. I loved you.”

I pulled him to me and kissed him. I needed my kiss to tell him everything I couldn’t verbalize. He walked us back to the bedroom and moved towards the bed. I pulled back and shook my head. “No bed, please,” I told him. He nodded, then moved to the window. My back touched the cool glass, and I moaned into Uri’s mouth. I was hot, turned on, and wanted nothing more than to live in his skin. I pulled away and kissed along his jaw.

Uri reached between us, pushed his shorts down, freeing his dick, then ripped the crotch from my boy shorts. He lined up to my opening and slowly pushed into me. I bit into his shoulder, grateful that he couldn’t feel pain because the metallic taste of blood filled my mouth.

“Uri,” I gasped. He rocked into me. The top of my head started to get hot, and I knew my orgasm was close. “Uri.”

“Breathe, Cori,” he said into my ear. I held on to him as he fucked me. He wasn’t in a rush; his strokes were slow and deliberate. The tip of his dick hit my G-spot every time. He knew what he was doing, how he was making me feel. I was hanging on for dear life yet wanted to fall into the feeling that he was giving me. “There you go baby. Just breathe.”

“Oh shit.” I clawed into his back. “Uri!”

“I told you I loved you,” he said as he kissed my jaw and continued to fuck me. “I mean just that.” He sped up his movements, still teasing but also trying to prove a point. “I won't ever let anything happen to you.” He kissed my ear. “I’m sorry for all the shit that you went through, but I promise, Cori. I’m going to make everything right. Make up for all the time we lost. I promise.” He moved faster, my legs started to shake around him, and I knew I wasn’t going last. Especially with him promising me everything that he was because I knew he meant it. He wouldn’t stop until he did everything he promised. “I love you, Cori.”

My orgasm washed over me as he kissed me.

Ichecked in at the front office of Judah and Deuces’ school. After I got my pass, I made my way down the long hallway towards their classroom. The hallways were quiet, except for a few kids sitting in the hallway. I chuckled and kept walking. I didn’t miss school at all. I got to his room, knocked, and waited for his teacher, Ms. Campbell, to come to the door. I met her before, at drop-off with Corinthians. She was a nice woman, on the younger side, but shit, I only remembered my teachers as old women. They could’ve been young, but to a kid, especially a little kid, everybody was old.

“Mr. Strong,” she greeted me. “You’re early.” She stepped to the side; the classroom was empty. “The kids are at gym for another…” she looked at her watch. “Five minutes or so.”

“I can wait,” I told her.

“Judah has been talking about you picking him up all day,” she said, pointing to a chair along the wall under the windows. “I asked him what was so special about today and he said he didn’t know. All he knew was that you were coming.”

“Yeah,” I replied, nodding. I didn’t give a fuck about what this woman was talking about, and her asking me questions only annoyed me. It didn’t matter why I was coming to pick up my son; I just was. That wasn’t her business. I looked at my watch; only two minutes had passed.

“What do you do for a living, Mr. Strong?” she asked. I looked up from my watch to see her sitting on the edge of her desk. Her dark eyes were locked on me. I could see the interest, but I wasn’t interested in her.

“I’m an accountant,” I replied.

“And you and Ms. DeCorte aren’t married, right?”

My face twisted, and I mugged the fuck out of her. Why this bitch had a battery in her back and thought it was cool to ask me anything was beyond me. Cori said she was a cool teacher, but I wasn’t feeling the vibe she was giving me.

“Why is that your business?” I asked her. I angrily licked my lips, and she did the same.

“Because if you aren’t, I wanted to know if you’d be interested in meeting for drinks,” she said.

I reared back, then shook my head and stood. “Ima wait in the hallway for my son,” I told her.
