“And I’m not distracted? The only thing keeping me from seeing all those gorgeous rolls and stretchmarks is that thin sash holding that silk together. Stop making excuses and show me what you got.”
I resituated the robe and tightened the sash, strutting toward him. “Are you challenging me, Daddy?”
He grabbed the ball and tossed it at me. I caught it in front of my stomach and arched a brow, flinging it back. He started dribbling again, shrugging his other arm out. “What you gonna do about it?”
“Rules?”
“No rules.”
“The prize?”
“Winner gets a massage.”
My hands on my hips, I shifted to one side. “So, in other words, you’re expecting to already be the winner.”
“Of course.”
“And if I win?”
Gradually shaking his head, he winked and teased, “It’ll never happen, big momma.”
I threw my head back and burst out laughing, tears beading the corners of my eyes. “Big momma, huh?”
His teeth grazed his bottom lip, the ball still dribbling. “Didn’t you tell me once to get myself a big momma?”
My pulse rattled and I giggled. “Did I rock your world?”
His smile faltered, his nostrils flaring. “Changed me forever, just like you promised.”
Strutting forward with an air of confidence, I fanned my hands out and purred, “Any regrets?”
The bouncing slowed even more, his brows arching a bit. “My only regret is not claiming you sooner.” His sight raking over me, the mischief returned, the dribbling quickening. “Mm, my gorgeous, sexy, big momma kitten. Show me what you got.”
Excitement quickening my pulse, I bit my bottom lip and giggled. This was going to be so much fun. Poor Wyatt was about to have his entire viewpoint on overweight people destroyed. I almost felt sorry for him.
But couldn’t wait to prove him wrong, so very wrong.
Chapter 12
Milo Pampinella
My phone tapping at my thigh, I called out Chastity’s name, but got nothing. Taking the stairs to the level below, I knocked on the door of the bedroom Wyatt had taken but heard silence. Crossing the landing, I knocked on Frank’s door.
“Yeah, hang on,” he groaned.
A moment later, it opened, and he was staring at me through squinted lids. “Hey, boss. Everything okay?”
“Yeah, yeah. You seen Chazzy or Wyatt?”
He yawned and shook his head. “Uh uh. Been sleeping. It’s Wyatt’s shift.” His spine snapped, his lids wide open. “I’ll get dressed.”
I waved my palm, craning my neck to peek at the stairs. “No, no. I’m sure everything is okay. I’ll call you if I need you. Go on back to sleep.”
“You sure?”
I chewed the inside of my cheek. “Uh, yeah, yeah. I’m sure.”
“All right, boss.” He closed the door, and the floor was silent again.
