She didn’t have to tell him twice. Carter slanted his mouth over hers and kissed her. Julie didn’t immediately put her arms around him. Instead, she brushed her dress’s straps over her shoulders and let the dress slide down her body, pooling at her feet. Then she kicked off her high heels.
He interrupted the kiss to look at her. She wore a white bra and panties. Befitting a virgin. And sexier than any stripper.
“God, you’re beautiful,” he whispered against her parted lips, and lifted her into his arms.
He carried her to the bed and laid her on top of the covers, then took off his shoes. He lay down next to her and pulled her into his arms. She molded her body to his and pressed her lips to his, inviting him in. He swept his tongue into her mouth and explored her. She wasn’t timid, but participated with equal fervor.
She put one hand on his nape and caressed him there. At the gentle touch, a shudder went through his body, and he let out a moan. He was glad he still wore his pants so he wouldn’t just roll over her and bury himself in her. He was already rock-hard and holding onto his control with everything he had.
Slowly, gently, he began to explore Julie’s body. Her skin was soft. She wasn’t a curvy woman with big breasts, but rather an athletic one with a few subtle curves where it mattered. He slid one hand along the side of her torso, feeling her shiver at his touch. She moaned into his mouth, confirming that his caress was welcome.
When his fingers reached the seam of her bra, he felt her pull in a deep breath. Slowly, giving her a chance to swat his hand away, he caressed her breast through the thin fabric. He rubbed his thumb over her nipple, eliciting a drawn-out moan from its owner. He repeated his action, then took her breast into the palm of his hand. Julie arched her back and thrust her breasts into his palm, demanding more. He squeezed her, first gently, then firmer.
Julie didn’t back away, didn’t stop him. Instead, her hand moved from his nape down to his jeans-clad butt. Even through the thick fabric Carter felt her dig her nails into him, forcing him to press his groin against hers. It only intensified his need to make love to her, but he wasn’t ready to get naked, or it would be over far too quickly.
He eased his lips from hers. “I’d like to touch your skin.” He squeezed her breast again, telling her exactly where he wanted to touch her without any barrier.
“Then open my bra and take it off me,” she invited him.
He fumbled in the front, but couldn’t find the closure.
“In the back,” she whispered.
“Sorry,” he said. “Don’t have too much practice in this.” Which was true. Still, he felt like a fool not knowing that bras in 2025 had to be opened and closed in the back. By 2085, bra manufacturers run by all-women designers had completely reworked the bra to make it more comfortable and practical.
Nevertheless, he was a quick learner. Seconds later, he’d freed Julie of her bra and gazed at the pretty sight. Her breasts, though small, were firm and beautiful.
Carter dipped his head, eager to taste her firm nipples. When he put his lips around one hard bud and sucked it into his mouth, Julie gasped. He pulled back instantly, worried that his action had made her uncomfortable, when he felt her hand on the back of his head, guiding him back to her breasts.
“Please,” she murmured, her voice colored with need, “don’t stop.”
Julie was responsive despite her inexperience. She had the right instincts, and her desire matched his. Carter hadn’t expected this when Dr. Mandell had told him he was being matched up with a virgin.
He’d thought that the computer program that had been fed with every piece of information—including any available DNA data about the women who’d died during the pandemic of 2025 as well as the Romeos—had failed. But Carter had underestimated the scientists who’d developed the program. They had promised the Romeos that each and every one of them would be matched up with a woman who would be their best biological, physical, and psychological match, and practically guaranteed them that their attraction would be mutual.
“I’ve only just gotten started,” he said against Julie’s soft skin.
