As we neared the gate, we could hear shouting. “Oh no, it’s Puritans,” Storm groaned. In other words, my former family.

“Margaret, you let us in right now!” Marion shouted on seeing me.

“What is your damn problem? Don’t you understand you’re not wanted around here?” Storm snapped before I could reply.

“We’re taking Margaret home. She needs to repent for her sins and re-take her pledges,” Keith snarled.

“Last night, I had a cock in my mouth, one in my cunt and the other in my ass. Vows ain’t ever gonna replace how that feels,” I retorted, and they gaped in horror.

Marion performed the sign of the cross and started praying.

My balding brother-in-law looked at me and licked his lips. The desire in his gaze made me ill.

“Keep your eyes to yourself,” Tinkerbell warned.

“Don’t you accuse my husband…” Catherine began hotly, and Tinkerbell cut her off.

“Bitch, compare yourself to your sister. Who would want you when you look in your late forties compared to Nun, who’s hot, sexy, and owns it. Any sane person would choose her instead of you.” Tinkerbell smirked.

“She’s a raving slut!” Catherine accused.

“Yup, I enjoy sex. I enjoy playing with toys and dominating men. Get over it. At least I don’t lie there resembling a wet fish. Christ, no wonder he plays away from home, even though he’s disgusting himself,” I replied. Her husband sent me the dirtiest look in his arsenal, but it didn’t faze me.

“Heli, you got a parcel for us?” I called to Heli, who was laughing.

“Yeah, this came for you,” he said and handed it to Storm.

“Don’t let them in, and if they become nuisances, call the cops and have them arrested,” I ordered.

I started walking away, then stopped and turned back. “Where’s Edith?”

“She went home; she couldn’t stand you anymore,” Marion began.

“Liar,” Storm murmured, her eyes narrowing on Marion.

“Where is she?” I asked, intrigued.

“With her loving husband,” Marion insisted.

“Lie.”

“Edith’s gone home?” I pushed.

“Yes!” Marion shouted, turning puce.

“Truth,” Storm muttered. I frowned and glanced at Catherine and Hilary. The penny dropped, and I began roaring with laughter.

“Edith rebelled, didn’t she?” I choked out.

“No!” Keith snarled.

“Lie.”

“Oh, my God. Edith realised that her own daughter would have to become a nun even if I returned. Because a girl from each generation must be sacrificed. She’s told you to fuck yourself and walked away.”

“You vile beast! No, Edith hasn’t; she’ll do her duty!” Marion yelled.

“Lie,” Storm intoned.
