“You two go ahead. We’ll meet you inside,” Jason tells his friends. He keeps his eyes on them, their footsteps retreating before he helps me to my feet. He cages me against the wall, hands planted beside my head, trapping me. But I don’t want to escape. His body crowds mine, forcing heat to coil low in my stomach. “How are you feeling now?”

I smile, the drugs and orgasm mixing into a potent cocktail. “Better.” But I can’t help but wonder what would happen if I wrapped my legs around him, pleading for Jason to take me behind the dumpster. I want to be the dirty girl he told me I am, repeating his name as he fucks me until I scream.

“You have such loud thoughts,” he groans.

“I want you to ruin me.”

“You’re going to ruin me.” His hand wraps around my throat, and I arch into his touch, the pressure making my head spin. “Trust me, you don’t want to know what I’d do to you.”

“You should tell me.”

Jason exhales between his clenched teeth.

“Fuck.” He presses a fist against the wall, his lips brushing my ear. “You are poison, but all I want to do is shove my cock into your cunt. I wouldn’t be gentle, but it wouldn’t matter,” his voice drops to a whisper, “because I know you get off on the pain.” He bites down onto my earlobe, sucking, and I writhe, gasping for air while learning something fundamental. Jason wants me. He might push me away, but every touch lingers too long to mean nothing. There’s something undeniable between us, and now that I know, he’s never going to escape me. I’m never going to let him go.

I lift my hips, aching for him. No matter how wrong it is, I want my stepbrother.

Jason laughs and shoves his body against mine. His hard length grinds against my core and it sparks throbbing waves of euphoria tearing through my lower abdomen. I cling to Jason, my nails biting into his jacket. The rough denim of jeans rubs against me as I match every thrust of his hips with frantic need.

“Look at you, humping me like a fucking dog.”

“I don’t care,” I gasp. His hard length brushes my already sensitive clit. Pleasure floods my veins, my body trembling from the force of it. “Fuck, Jason.”

His teeth sink into my neck, and I scream as they pierce my skin, yet the painful ache has me moaning. “You’re a sick fuck, Daisy.” He laughs as I cry out, slick heat running further down my thighs. “But so am I.”

Jason releases me and steps back. I slump against the wall, sweat sticking to my skin while I catch my breath. Panting hard, I look up at him, satisfaction tugging at the corners of my lips.

“You can say you hate me all you want.” My eyes lower, tracing the hard outline of his jeans. “But your body never got the message.”

Every muscle in Jason’s body goes rigid. Alarm flashes behind his eyes before he buries it, taking a step back.

“Fuck. What have I done?”

Seven

Jason

My heart pounds, echoing one singular word. Danger. Everything is coming undone. I walk faster, trying to outrun the memory of her moans, the way her body rubbed up against mine. Fuck. Desire pulses through my cock and I glare into the night. It was one of the hottest things I’ve ever experienced, but I can’t go there. Even if I want more. I’m already losing control and I need to stop anything further from happening.

Jerry taught me, through lessons carved in anger, that the people closest to you are the ones who can hurt you the most. My best friend is safe because I know the shape of us. With Daisy, I don’t know where I begin or end.

“Jason, wait up! I swear you enjoy making me chase you.” Daisy’s footsteps hurry behind me and I quicken my pace, afraid of what might happen if she catches me. How have I become the prey? It’s not meant to be like this.

I clench my teeth, every muscle locked tightly to stop myself from turning around.

I had to do it. I had to save Daisy from the edge of a bad trip, even if I pushed myself closer to insanity. If she started freaking out, someone would have noticed, and it’s a small town—people talk. With Nicky, what we take is always more than acid. His “special concoction” would have been whatever the tabs were soaked in. Jerry cannot know.

Pulling out the lighter in my jacket pocket, I rub it between my fingers.

I’m afraid of what Daisy will do to me if I don’t keep my walls up. But somehow, I have the sense that she’s already buried herself under my skin and it’s too late. I exhale loudly, watching the air spread outward in slow motion, like ink dropped into water. It shimmers into something tangible before I wave my hand through it, my breath disappearing. If she wanted, Daisy could destroy me, making me just as weak as Jerry does with his abuse. The fear of slipping back into that vulnerability grips me. My mother left without warning. I came home from school one day and only Jerry was there, his cruelty unchecked in her absence. He was already a monster from the start, but he got worse after she was gone. I vowed no one would ruin me again.

Pretty girls like Daisy always break hearts.

I don’t want to be hurt. Not again.

There’s something wrong with me. It’s the fear that I might lose control, that everything will change, and I have no way to stop it.

“You’re awfully quiet. Post-nut clarity hitting you hard?” Daisy breaks our silence and my internal debate.
