I hum in response and remove my hand, chuckling as she chases it. “Easy, there’s more where that came from.”

Straightening, I begin thrusting harder into her, and she clutches at the sheets, her knuckles white.

“Is this too much?” I ease up.

She shakes her head, “No.”

With a smirk she can’t see, I say “good,” then spank her, harder than before.

“Oh!” She arches her back, seeking more.

I watch as a faint, red patch forms on her pale skin and feel another surge of possessiveness flood through me knowing she’ll be wearing my marks and be sore tomorrow because of the pleasure I brought her.

“Please, I’m so close!” she keens, reaching to stimulate her clit.

“Ah-ah, that’s my job, baby girl.” I block her hand with my own, and rub my palm against her in time with my thrusts.

“That’s it, take your pleasure from me.” I can feel my own release building as Lana rocks her hips back against me, her pussy clenching tight around me so I can barely move.

“Fuck, you’re so beautiful,” I groan, kissing the top of her spine.

“Ryan, don’t stop.” Her voice is hoarse.

I move quicker, savoring every sound she makes as I bring her closer and closer to the edge.

A moment later, we both cry out as the wave crests and our orgasms slam into each other. I have never felt closer to anyone than I do right now, and I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that Lana is it. Anyone else is ruined for me after this.

With heaving breaths, we collapse to the side, sprawling out across the bed. I wrap her up in my arms and pull her close, planting open-mouth kisses across her throat.

She hums sleepily and rolls over, draping one of her legs over mine.

“I wish we could stay like this forever,” she murmurs, kissing the corner of my mouth.

“Me too, baby girl,” I whisper, pulling her into a gentle kiss.

The bright glare of the post-game press room lights hurts my already tired eyes. I’m exhausted, but for the first time all season, it doesn’t weigh on me.

Reporters shout over each other, desperate to ask me questions about the flawless shutout I secured, anchoring us another big home win.

With the way we’ve been going, the Stanley Cup is in the bag.

“Ryan! Over here!” A reporter I recognize shouts, shoving her microphone forward. “Your performance on the ice has shifted drastically over the last few weeks. Can you tell us what changed your focus?”

I adjust the collar of my team jacket, eyes scanning the room. I let a genuine smile spread across my face and focus on the center camera, knowing Lana’s at home watching while doing her homework. She tried to come and make an appearance for the media, but I insisted that she focus on her studies tonight.

“Honestly?” I say, pushing as much conviction into my voice as I can. “It’s my girlfriend. Her moving in with me is the change.”

A collective murmur ripples through the crowd as reporters’ pens fly across notepads and cameras flash rapidly. Another round of questions fills the air and by the time I walk out of the media room, I know the interview is already trending across the sports blogs and Instagram.

Phoenix Michaud catches up with me outside the press room, his short dark hair still damp from his post-game shower.

“Your girlfriend really turned you into a media darling, huh?” he says, grinning.

I shoot him a look. “Don’t start.”

He laughs and claps me on the shoulder. “Hey, I’m not complaining. Whatever she’s doing, keep it up. I like winning.”
