She releases him and turns to me. “Spencer, it’s good to finally meet you. Rush has told me so much about you. Apparently, all of it was true.”

“Well, I’m thrilled for that. I would’ve hated having to pretend.” I return her hug, holding her a little tighter than I probably should have. I think I would’ve loved having a mom.

“Spencer, this is my mom Cleo. Mom, this is my Spencer.” Rush’s eyes dance with his smile.

“We know you’re tired, so we’re not staying. We’ll all catch up tomorrow before the cookout.” Cleo hugs me again. “Rush, put a bag on that cast, no getting it wet.”

Rush checks it out, turning it over. “I was thinking of taking it off.”

“He did that every time when he was little, drove me crazy.” Cleo clasps her hands.

“Is that what you’ve been telling people drove you crazy? Cause that’s not what dad told me!” Rush grabs his belly, laughing his ass off. Cleo shakes her finger at him, pursing her lips.

“Alright young man, I have a photo album and your grade school pictures.” She winks at me as Rush’s laughter comes to a complete stop.

Sam and I can’t help but chuckle at their banter, I have a feeling this is totally who they are, and I love it. My dad would love being here, cutting up with all of us.

I lay my hand over my heart, missing him. “Dad would love y’all.”

“You said y’all.” Rush steals a kiss from me for my slip.

“You act as if I’m not from North Carolina, literally down the street and over four traffic lights.” I gape at him, making his parents snicker.

He half shrugs. “But you’re a city slicker, and I’m a beach bum.”

“You have never been a bum, a slacker maybe but never a bum.” Cleo winks, and waves as Sam leads her back down the street.

“They are adorable!” I clutch my aching heart. “Dad says mom was like that, witty.”

“Witty? Didn’t you hear her describe herself as crazy? Poor thing, we just took her in one day, and she won’t go home.” I slap at him until he takes off running toward the house.

“I’m telling!”

“What’s with the abuse? I can’t work in this type of environment, get naked.” Rush waggles his brow, followed by fisting his cock.

I shew him into the house. “Go in the house with that thing, the neighbors are watching.”

“Good.” He wraps his arms around my waist, picking me up. I lock my legs at the small of his back and he carries me up the steps and in the door.

I reach for the door, shutting it behind us. “I forgot my bag.”

“You don’t need it.” He plods through the house, giving me the fifty cent tour. “Living, family, kitchen, half bath, bedrooms that are not for you to sleep in but are more than welcome to plan a sexual adventure for us in and finally the King’s bedroom.”

I raise my brow. “The King, huh?”

“You’re my Queen, I have to be the King.” His eyes ignite with need, and I’ve never been happier that I’m what he needs.

He lets me down slowly, feeling every inch of my body as I slide down his. I press my hands into his chest, tiptoeing to kiss him. “I think you’re the perfect King for me.”

“Spencer you have become my life’s meaning, I love you and never want to be apart after this, not even for a minute. You are my sunrise and the sunset, my reason for more.” His mouth takes mine, pushing for more. More of everything, and of us.

I inch his shirt over his abs, pulling it over his head. I toss it in the chair beside the bed and shove my hands in the front of his pants. They sag just enough for his V to show, it’s like an arrow, pointing to the good stuff.

His pants pop the button from the pressure of my hands reaching deeper to fist his cock. Rush sucks in a deep breath when I grab him and begin to stroke.

“Oh, no. You’re not wasting this, all I’ve dreamed of since meeting you is having you in my bed, naked and beneath me.” Rush groans through his words, as he takes my shirt off and frees my breast.

I glance at the bed, and for the first time I feel intimated. Rush immediately reads my apprehension and lifts my chin to gaze into my eyes. He searches my face, and as if by magic, he knows my thoughts and fears.
