“Irene,” Wesley said. “Tell Cruz you need to freshen up. Be coy. Flirt. Tell him you’ll be right back and that you want him and him alone.”

I did as he said, flipping my long, black hair extensions while I told him I needed to freshen up for him first. His eyes lit up with excitement, and after squeezing my ass one last time, he let me go.

“Good,” Wes said. “Now go to the bathroom. I’ll guide you. Piper, change of plans. Don’t go back to the party. Irene will hunker down in the bathroom until you get back to her.”

“Virus is planted, Wesley. You’re in, and I’m on my way to you, Irene. Just lock yourself in the bathroom and wait for me. Should take me about three minutes to get back. I’ll knock four times.”

I started to the bathroom, then was shocked when Cruz started along with me.

“Fuck,” Wesley said. “He’s following her.”

“I’ll take you to the bathroom, then you can come straight to my room,” Cruz said.

I smiled and acted sultry, but deep down, I wanted to scream. How was I going to get away from him? And why in the hell had I thought coming here was a good idea?

But as I started to lose my confidence, I remembered the whole reason I was here.

My dad.

And if letting some guy grope my ass was what it took to free him, then that was fine with me. I’d just bathe in bleach afterward.

We walked together down the hallway, and then he pointed to a door. “Bathrooms there. I’ll wait for you here.”

His leering gaze sent a shiver down my spine, but I smiled and said, “Great. Thanks.”

I closed myself inside and pressed my back against the door as I exhaled a deep breath.

“Piper, Cruz is outside the bathroom door. I have no idea how you’re going to get to Irene.”

“I’ll figure it out,” she said.

“That’s it!” Marcus snapped. “We’re going in. Wesley, get this fucking perimeter fence down. Now!”

“Working on it, man,” Wesley answered. “I need about sixty seconds.”

“Fuck,” Marcus said. “Hang in there, Irene. We won’t let anything happen to you.”

I turned on the faucet and let it run, then leaned down into my breasts and whispered, “I know. And I’m okay. Just focus on freeing my father. I trust Piper to get me out of here.”

“Thanks for the vote of confidence, sweetie,” Piper said. “I’ve got you.”

“Just get my father, Marcus. Please. Don’t worry about me.”

He grumbled into my earpiece but then sighed. “Fine. But if anything goes wrong, Irene is the priority. Understood?”

Piper and Knox answered, “Roger that.”

“Pretty Boy,” Piper said. “Do you know where Cruz’s bedroom is? I’m wondering if I should intercept them there. Take him out right now and get her out of there. I don’t see any way to get her free from the hallway he’s in.”

Wesley was silent for a moment. “I’ve seen him coming out of the fourth door on the left down the east wing hallway second floor every morning. I can assume that’s where he’ll take her.”

“Irene,” Piper said. “I’m heading there now. I’ll be waiting inside his room. Just go in with him, act natural, and I’ll take him out the moment it’s safe. No one will come looking for him because they’ll think he’s with you. It’s actually perfect.”

“Uh, okay. Yeah. I can do that,” I said.

Normally I would have been rattling off odds and statistics in my head trying to calculate the chances I’d get killed in this plan, but I knew the answer was zero percent. Piper would succeed in rescuing me... and killing him. It still sickened me I was going to play a part in his death, but I knew there wasn’t much choice in the matter. Instead of arguing, I took a deep breath and opened the door wearing my coyest smile.

“Follow me,” Cruz said as he slapped my ass to guide me along.
