"So, what you said at the hotel about not being ready for a relationship," she began as she stared at me. "That wasn't the full truth?" I shrugged.

"In a way, it was, but it wasn't the full truth," I told her. "I suppose I should have just admitted from the beginning that I liked you, but I was afraid of what you might say, especially after everything that happened." Fearing the worst, I took a deep breath and looked at her. "Do you hate me?" She raised an eyebrow at me before shaking her head.

"No, I don't," she told me. "In all honesty, I've had a slight crush on you all this time, and, after seeing what you did for me back at the hotel, my feelings have only grown stronger." I smiled at her.

"Is it too soon to ask you to be mine?" I asked, and she smiled at me.

"No, it's not," she said as she leaned over in her seat towards me. "I'll be your forever Little, as long as you promise never to hurt me." I smiled and kissed her head.

"I promise," I reassured her.

"I knew it!" exclaimed Stephanie from behind us as she smiled down at us. "I knew you'd be together by the time we got to Chicago." She then turned to Derek. "Tell Skye she owes me five dollars." Derek rolled his eyes as Xavier laughed.

"That's not all they owe us," he said as he cast a knowing look at Derek. "You owe us all dinner when we land." Derek sighed and shook his head.

"Fine," he agreed as he looked at me. "Also, if she wants a job, she can work with Skye, Stephanie, and I." I looked at Rachel.

"What do you say?" I asked. "Want to work with your sister?" She smiled at us all. "Sure," she agreed with a mischievous grin. "Someone's got to keep everybody out of trouble."

CHAPTER NINE

Rachel

When we arrived in Chicago early that morning, everyone was too tired to do anything but go home and rest. Stephanie and Xavier took a taxi home from the airport, and Derek offered to drive us to Tristan's house, but Tristan told him that he'd prefer to take a taxi. The last thing Tristan wanted to do was keep Derek away from Skye any longer. As soon as we were alone, Tristan turned to smile at me.

"You ready to see your new home?" he asked, a playful smile on his face. I nodded as he flagged down a taxi.

The whole ride to my new home, I wondered what kind of home he lived in. I was so used to the big, fancy apartment back in New York that I desperately needed a change of scenery. Even if it was a small house in the suburbs, I didn't care. All I wanted was to stay with Tristan.

The taxi took us to the nicer area of town, where lots of big, fancy houses were separated by huge yards and huge hedges. I marveled at the design of each one until the taxi stopped at one of the houses. I froze as I looked at the giant house.

"Is this where you live?" I asked as I stared at the house. Tristan shook his head.

"No, it's where we live," he corrected me. "This is your home, too." He got out of the taxi, paid the fare, and approached the gate to unlock it for me.

The yard and house were bigger than the others on the street. I couldn't believe this was where I was going to live. I felt like a princess getting to her new castle, and it felt great.

"Come on," Tristan said as he offered me his hand. "I'll give you the tour." I yawned and shook my head.

"Can we just head straight to our room?" I asked. "I'm pretty tired." He raised an eyebrow at me.

"You are, are you?" he asked. "If we go straight to bed, I don't think we'll be doing much sleeping." His smile was charming, mischievous, and sneaky, and I nodded.

"I'm okay with that," I told him. "Gives us a chance to get to know each other." He shrugged as he led me to the house.

I didn't pay much attention to the interior of the house. As soon as we reached the door, Tristan picked me up and gently swung me over his shoulder. I giggled as I moved my right arm away from his head so that he didn't hit it. He carried me like this straight up the stairs and down the hall to the giant, rustic bedroom. As soon as he had closed and locked the door, he approached the bed and put me down.

"Are you sure you're ready for this?" he asked as he stared at my arm. "I don't want to mess up your arm accidentally."

"I'm sure," I told him as I looked at the cast. "I think that, as long as I lay on my back, we'll be fine." He nodded as he pulled me into him.

"Whatever you say, princess," he said as he leaned down to kiss me.

Feeling safe in his arms, I reached up and wrapped my arms around his neck while I kissed him back. His lips were warm and wet, and they molded into mine like they were meant to be. He lowered me onto the bed and set to work, helping me undress so that I didn't have to use my bad arm. Before long, I was in nothing but my lacey blue underwear and a black bra. His breath grew husky as he stepped back to examine me. I still had a few bruises, which were fading, but they weren't fading fast enough. He smiled and shook his head as I turned my head away.

"Beautiful," he said as he tugged the T-shirt over his head. "Simply beautiful." He descended upon me, kissing my belly up to my neck, and I arched my body up towards him, greeting his warm touch as he caressed my breasts.

His kisses eventually fell from my collarbone back to my stomach, and I cried out as he dipped his head towards my underwear. Sex with Victor had never felt this good. With him, he was the only one who got any pleasure, and he treated it like it was my chore. Tristan was so soft and gentle, and I knew he was doing it for my benefit. I moaned as he nipped at my underwear, threatening to remove it with his teeth. My pussy was soaked, and I was ready. I wanted him more than I ever wanted anything in my life.
