“Such a good girl,” he purred. “You need to be rewarded for that.”

“Yes, yes, yes,” I babbled.

“My tongue and my fingers?” he asked. “Or my cock?”

“All of them,” I begged. “All of them.”

He smiled, one so filled with love and passion I caught my breath. “What a good answer. You deserve your reward. And you’ll get it.” He kissed my clit. “Now.”

The world ceased to exist. All there was, all that mattered, was Egan’s mouth. His tongue. He licked and lapped. Stroked my clit with tender caresses, then sucked it between his teeth, nibbling softly. He worked it, sliding one, then two fingers into me. He strummed my clit in time with his movements, sending me over the edge. He added another finger, stretching me, making me whimper with need. He pressed his thumb to my sensitive nub, driving me to another orgasm, and before I could come down from it, slid two fingers into my ass as he kept fucking me with the other two, again using his thumb on my clit. I detonated again, unsure how he could draw such intense orgasms from me one after another. I cried out his name, riding his hand, begging him for something. What, I had no idea. But he did. He eased back, hovering over me, and thrust inside me, his cock hard and hot. I shouted out, my body locking down around him. He grunted and gasped, moving inside me. I gripped at his shoulders, and he kissed me. I could taste us both, feeling another wave of heat building within me. I wrapped my shaking legs around his hips as he began to move faster. Harder. Hitting me in a place I never knew existed. I flew higher, crying and scratching at his back, pulling at the sheets, sucking on his tongue, noises coming from my mouth I had never made before. He kept kissing me, his tongue fucking my mouth in time with his hips. We were pressed so closely together our skin meshed. Our breaths were shared. Our lips locked.

I was on fire, and I wasn’t sure I would survive this. Survive him. I was convinced there would be nothing but a pile of ash left when he was done with me.

If he was ever done with me.

I soared upward, hurtling into the unknown. Until the room around me faded and the sky opened up, black and filled with stars. Blue and bright with the sun. Day and night colliding. I exploded, crying out his name, the sound echoing off the walls. Egan rode it out, pounding into me as he came. He filled me completely, shouting my name, pulling my hair, pushing on the mattress, driving us both deep into the plush bed.

Then he collapsed, shaking and heavy on top of me. Neither of us moved. Neither of us could. He mumbled something into my neck, his lips gliding along the sensitive skin. I was sure I was going to be covered in love bites. I was also certain he’d be pleased with his handiwork.

He lifted his head, his eyes drowsy. He pressed his mouth to mine, kissing me. The heat was gone, the desperation evaporated. Instead, I felt his adoration, his love, and his gratitude. He rolled off me, pulling me to his chest. “Sofia, my love.”

I pressed a kiss to his skin. “Hush, just sleep, Egan.”

“I have things to say.”

“Later.”

I felt for the extra blanket, glad I could reach it. I flung it over us and curled into his side. He fell asleep almost instantly. I lifted my head, studying him. The frown was absent, his forehead unlined. A low, snoring noise escaped his lips on occasion.

I smirked as I settled into his embrace. I wanted him relaxed and asleep.

I did my job well.

CHAPTER ELEVEN

Sofia

I woke up, the scent of coffee heavy in the air. I sat up, not surprised to see the other side of the bed empty. I ran my hands over the mattress. It was still slightly warm, and I could see the indentation from Egan’s body. He hadn’t been awake long. A look at my phone told me it was just after noon. He had slept with me for a long time.

I slipped from the bed and went to the bathroom. As I brushed my teeth, I looked over Egan’s artwork on my body. Scruff marks were on my neck and stomach. A few on my thighs. My lips were still swollen from his possession earlier, and I had other love bites scattered everywhere on my body. Luckily, most in places I could cover up. The largest ones were on my thighs, and I shivered as I recalled the words he’d said as he marked me.

“Everything between these two marks is mine.”

I had never been a woman who swooned over a possessive caveman. I always considered myself an independent woman, needing nothing from a man. Having lost the two men in my life who mattered romantically, I had done everything on my own, learning as I went. Refusing to rely on someone else for anything. And the few men I dated had been nice. Polite. Decent in bed, although I never felt satisfied.

I had nothing but satisfaction from Egan. Wild, unbridled satisfaction. He was an incredible lover. Giving, passionate, controlling, yet he gave me more freedom than I had ever experienced before. He encouraged my sexuality, loved it when I talked dirty, and always put me first. His body was spectacular, and he let me explore to my heart’s content. I loved the way he explored me as well.

I shook my head, picking up his discarded T-shirt and pulling it on. He loved seeing me in his clothes, and I had to admit wearing them made me feel sexy.

I padded down the hall, stopping at the entrance to the living room. Egan stood, coffee cup in hand, staring out the window. He was frowning, seemingly deep in thought. He rubbed at his temples, then paused, turning his head. Our eyes met across the room, and his frown disappeared. His warm, sexy smile—the one only I ever saw—curled his lips. He held out his hand, beckoning me.

“Sofia,” he murmured.

I went forward, letting him take my hand and pull me close. He pressed his coffee cup to my lips, and I took a sip of the fragrant brew.

“Mmm,” I murmured. “Delicious.”

He set down the cup, embracing me. For a moment, I basked in his warmth. The solid feel of his body aligning with mine. He murmured my name, and I lifted my head, meeting his gaze. He looked despondent, worried. Before I could ask him, he covered my mouth with his and kissed me. Long, slow, and profound. I felt his love, his worry and fear. I felt the way he pulled me closer as if to mold me to him, for our skin to meld together so we were one.
