As Tate swiped his tongue against hers, Wendy lowered her hands from his shoulders down his toned pecs and abs before fingering his waistband.
Nic’s breath cascaded over her shoulder, and it only dawned on her just then that she was sandwiched between two men who stirred butterflies in her stomach. Who towered over her and made her feel tiny—in the hottest way.
They wanted her, and she was allowed to let them. Because Wendy wanted them too.
She slid her hand lower, over the outside of Tate’s sweatpants, and cupped his bulge, framing it with her fingers before tracing it. He nipped her lip in return, but she felt his reaction.
Having an alpha shiver beneath her touch was… eye opening.
It made her pulse jump, the corkscrew of arousal twisting deeper, making her wetter. Wendy, eager for the alpha in front of her, traced her hand back up his length and tugged at his sweats.
Tate broke the kiss to help her get them off, but before she could really help, she was tugged back into Nic’s chest.
“Before we all get a little carried away, there’s something you might be forgetting?”
He dragged something up from the covers, and she felt her throat go dry at the sight of the bite guards.
“Oh, yeah,” she whispered.
Wendy knew the bite guard would keep her safe, but it would also put a barrier between her and Tate. Yes, that was the whole point, but…
But I want kisses.
Her desire for a little affection didn’t outweigh her common sense, so she nodded, took the slip of leather and laces.
Tate turned away from her, back muscles flexing as he settled into place on his knees. Wendy knew she had a task, but the only thing she could do just then was stare.
His dedication to yoga sure paid off, if his sculpted frame was anything to go by.
Nic’s voice startled her as he whispered beside her ear. “Wipe the drool away first, then put the guard on.”
Her cheeks flamed, and she playfully elbowed him in the stomach as he chuckled. Tate’s shoulders shook a little too, but he composed himself as she sat up and placed an arm on each shoulder, the mask dangling from one hand.
Tate’s fingers brushed against hers as he slid the guard into a comfy position, and Wendy tugged it taut. “That okay?” she asked, making sure his ears fit in the cutouts.
He nodded against her hold.
Her mouth was dry as she swallowed, throat clicking when she tightened the strings, carefully tying them off at the base of his neck.
“Okay,” she breathed.
Tate turned to her, and she schooled her expression. Nerves squiggled in her stomach, but even against the harshness of the black mask, it was still Tate back there.
“Hi,” she said, warmth rushing through her cheeks.
Tate cocked his head to the side, a smile reaching his eyes even though she couldn’t see it through the leather.
In fact, it was even kinda… hot.
Something about his tousled blond hair and ocean eyes was made all mysterious by the bite guard.
Feeling bold—maybe there was something to the bite guard—Wendy leaned forward, holding Tate’s gaze until it blurred, then she shuttered her eyes as she pressed her lips to his, barely feeling them beneath the piece of leather.
The leather was warm from his skin though, and smooth against her lips. Sadly, it didn’t taste like Tate, though his scent was thick in the air with his arousal just like hers was.
Wendy pulled back, wondering if her eyes were as wide as they felt.
It wasn’t the same.
