“You know, I was gone leave you alone, take my daughter, live my life with Nia and move the fuck on. You just had to kill my momma, B,” her voice broke. I could see the tears well up in her eyes.

“My fucking momma! Then I hear you done got that fat bitch pregnant! Where the fuck is she? Cause when I’m done with you, I’m gon’ shoot her in her fucking stomach, then kill her and that bastard baby!”

Teflon scratched his shoulders like the crackhead he was, he mouthed the words, I got you. He took two steps back and Laquanna didn’t even look at him, she was too caught up in her own feelings. The second guy with the ski mask kept his eyes glued to Teflon as if he was waiting on his order. I was confused as fuck. I couldn’t trust shit. If Teflon did get me out of this shit, I still wouldn’t fuck with him. However, I might give his ass some immunity after he explained how all this shit came about.

“I wonder what Kayori would think if she knew you was the reason her brother Malcom was murdered?”

I heard a gasp and my stomach dropped. I didn’t even have to turn around to know the love of my life was standing behind me probably looking devastated.

“Is that true, Beast?”

I turned around slowly as I heard Laquanna laughing. I faced Kayori and she was holding the Desert Eagle I left in the glove compartment. Her hands shook steadily as she aimed the gun right at me.

“Juicy, it’s not like that. I didn’t kill your brother, baby. I ain’t living foul like that,”

I pleaded with her as the tears were falling fast down her chubby cheeks.

“You might as well. You called the hit because he owed your ass some money! So, you had Teflon off that nigga! How does it feel, bitch? You thought you was slick sleeping with my man, whole time you fuckin a nigga that had your brother killed.”

Pow! Pow! Pow!

Everything happened too fast, I heard different guns go off. I couldn’t even focus on who got shot because I was on the floor leaking my damn self. Before my eyes closed, I could see Kayori standing over me with tears falling down her face onto mine. Maybe she put a nigga out of misery. Lord knows if I lived to tell the tale, nobody was safe.

To be continued…. Keep turning the page for the finale!

Chapter Thirty-One

BEAST

“So, where we headed, nigga?” Stone asked as he turned another corner. His health was still not up to par, but he refused to not pick me up when I got released from the hospital. Passing me the blunt, I turned down the music.

“You already know. Take me straight to the warehouse.”

I looked at the road ahead and chose not to say shit. I felt like shit after spending two weeks in the hospital. Kayori shot me in my right kneecap, and I had to get a knee replacement. I kept having flashbacks of how she closed her eyes and fired the gun. Not caring where it landed, she wanted to hurt me or maybe even kill me. I had nothing to do with her brother being killed. That was all on Michael. At the moment, I wasn’t ready to face her. I was sure she wanted nothing to do with me. That didn’t stop me from wanting her bad. I craved her so much it was starting to pain me. I wanted a text, a call, or something from her ass. She couldn’t even check to make sure if a nigga was breathing. Instead, Leandra held shit down for me. She brought me breakfast and dinner and made sure Mattea saw me every day. I appreciated that shit, but nobody was able to even get in touch with Kayori. Even her best friend claimed that Kayori wasn’t accepting anyone’s calls. She had everyone on the blocked list. I just prayed that she and my baby was okay.

My knee hurt like shit. That wasn’t stopping me from what I had planned right now at this very moment. Pulling up to the warehouse, I felt slighted. I couldn’t just hop out and walk right into that bitch. Brick and Dion got out of the truck that I provided them with and popped the trunk to retrieve my wheelchair. A wheelchair was needed. I could walk, but too much pressure felt like pins and needles. If it wasn’t pain, then there was numbness. I lost my balance a lot, and the shit still felt out of place. The doctor kept telling me it would take six months to walk normally. I hoped so because this shit wasn’t player at all.

My mind went back to Kayori, and anger consumed me. I missed her and hated her all at once. A flashback of her tear-stricken face popped up in my head. I felt bad as fuck when I shouldn’t have. She was supposed to give a nigga a chance to explain to her what it really was. Instead, she did what most bitches did, and that’s act strictly off emotions. She was so worried about me hurting her when in the end, she ended up hurting me bad as fuck.

If I can’t make it with her, I’ll make it without. One thing she wasn’t gon’ do was keep my baby away from me like I did something wrong because I didn’t. I wasn’t apologizing, I didn’t owe her shit but the space she begged like hell for. This time I was gone give her what she’s been begging for, no matter how bad it bothered me.

Brick opened up my door with the wheelchair in front of me. It felt like a slap of cold reality. Kayori had me handicapped. I couldn’t even get out of the fuckin car and walk in this place without needing some assistance. I was not that kind of nigga. I didn’t want any help. I felt less of a man, and all of it was because of Kayori. She took advantage of the love I had for her. If she was anybody else, I would have killed her. I was dealing with these stupid ass voices on top of her ass, and the shit was enough to make my mind explode. Praise was super crushed by Kayori’s actions. He hasn’t reacted or said shit since I’ve been in the hospital, and that wasn’t good. The logical side of me was gone.

Growling in pain, I hopped on one leg until I got comfortable in my chair. Stone was staring down at me with that crooked smile. Grabbing his cane, he took slow steps as Brick wheeled me towards the entrance.

“I’ont know what the fuck you smiling about, nigga! I can still walk without this wheelchair.” He couldn’t hold it back any longer, and he started crying laughing as Dion held the door open for our crippled asses.
