Fortunately, the bed is directly behind him.

He ends up on his back, sideways on the mattress with his legs hanging over the side, and because I’m unwilling to stop kissing him, I end up on top of him.

We both laugh at the surprise change in position, and Wes hefts himself farther onto the bed so he’s more securely lodged. Then he drags me up his body.

I hike up my gown so I can straddle his thighs.

This position works very nicely as far as I’m concerned. I lean down to press my lips against his. With the length of my body resting on his, I can feel his erection against my lower belly. I grind against it as we kiss, even deeper and more passionate than before.

My body is throbbing now in a few key locations. Namely my heart and my pulse points and between my legs. I’ve been turned on before—plenty of times—but it’s never been like this. Like something inside me will claw itself inside out if I can’t get as close to Wes as possible.

I would have been embarrassed, but there’s no room left for such things in my mind.

There’s nothing but this need.

And Wes.

“Fuck,” he gasps, breaking the kiss just slightly and muttering against the skin of my cheek. He’s holding on to my bottom, helping me rub against his arousal. “Oh fuck.”

The word surprises me so much I straighten up and stare down at him. “What?”

“I said fuck.”

A smile widens slowly on my face. “I thought that’s what you said.”

“What’s your point?”

“My point is I’ve never heard you say fuck before.”

He frowns, as diverted as I am from our embrace a few seconds ago. “I say fuck.”

“Maybe. But I’ve never heard you before.”

“Do you have a problem with it? Should I have said darn instead?”

I shake with amusement and pull my slipping gown straps back up my shoulders. “Darn is hardly a suitable replacement for fuck.”

His brows lower. “Fudge?”

I might as well be in third grade again with the cute boy making me laugh hysterically despite my best attempts to stay composed. Propped above him, I laugh so much I accidentally hiccup.

He’s visibly proud. Obviously enjoying my amusement. “Was fudge the right replacement word?”

“You don’t have to replace fuck. I don’t care. I was just surprised because I’ve never heard it from you before.”

He’s grinning as he reaches up to brush my loose hair back from my face, tucking it behind my ears and behind my shoulders. “I only use it when greatly distressed.”

“And you were distressed? Kissing me?” That’s where my amusement changes to something else.

“Not kissing you. That’s the best thing I’ve ever done in my life. I mean trying to keep it together when you’re so sexy and…”

“And what?” My brief nerves have been fully assuaged.

“And aggressive.”

I was about to lean down to kiss him again, but at that I pop right back up. “Aggressive?” My voice squeaks slightly.

“I didn’t mean it in a bad way.”
