“Mine,” I said.
“No,” she corrected, voice raw as she looked up at us. “I’m all of yours.”
I smirked at her sass, loving the way she took control and claimed us.
I brushed my thumb over her mouth. “Say it again.”
“You’re all mine,” she repeated, softer, like a secret.
“We need to finish cleaning up and get her to the cabin,” Jaxon interrupted, as he stuffed himself back into his jeans.
I nodded. “Are you two good taking care of him?”
I stood, hauling Sweet Daisy up with me, my palm at her nape, the new strap warm against my fingers.
“With pleasure,” Dash said.
“I’ll get her to the cabin and get her warmed up and rested. Then she’ll eat. After, she’ll be ready for when you two return.”
“And tomorrow,” Dash asked.
“Tomorrow, we teach her the rest of the forest.”
Our Sweet Daisy leaned in, lips at my ear, voice soft but steady. “Teach me everything.”
I turned my head and let the skull graze her lower lip, just enough to make her breath catch. “I intend to.”
She was sound asleep by the time I reached our cabin on the outskirts of the park. It was simple, but it had all the amenities we needed.
“Welcome home.”
I nudged her awake as we crossed the threshold.
She smiled, slow and dangerous.
“That felt like a blink.”
I placed her on her feet and laughed. “More like a few hours, but I would carry you around the world and back so you never had to touch the ground if you wanted.”
A deep blush spread across her cheeks as she reached up, slowly undoing my mask and slipping the bones off my head. Her hand ran over the skull, caressing it as if it were sacred to her.
“This is where we live,” I said as she looked around.
“It’s perfect.” She smiled, setting the mask down on the table. “Oh no, I forgot mine.”
I smirked. “The guys have it, and they have your pack and will move your car around to the cabin. Don’t worry about the cops, we’ll make sure that they never suspect foul play, or you, in any of this.” I pulled her into my arms, loving that she didn’t care she was still as naked as the day she was born. “I promise.”
Cupping her ass, I groaned as she rose on her toes and kissed my lips. The kiss was soft, but there was something powerful in her touch.
Picking her up, I walked into the bathroom and closed the door. It wasn’t as rustic or romantic as the cave, but I planned on worshiping her body, cleaning every square inch of her, and then claiming her until the sun rose the next day.
SAGE
Everything had played out exactly as Ryder said it would. Cops had arrived to investigate, but between the rain and the guys, they had no trail to follow. After four weeks, Connor was officially declared a missing person, and they stopped looking. Because of my outburst at the country club, I had to answer some of Officer Grady’s questions. I’d told him that I had gone shopping and left town for a few days. Jaxon’s friend from his time in the Marines vouched for me, and that was the end of that.
I’d learned that all three of the guys had grown up together, served overseas, and when they got back, they had moved into the cabin and got jobs as park rangers. The rest was history.
That night, it became my home too, and even though it didn’t look like it would, the guys had Wi-Fi, which was perfect for my new work-from-home business that was doing incredibly well. I even managed to scoop two of the accounts that I used to manage from my old company. Apparently, they hadn’t been happy with any of the new ideas.
