The lightning flashed, and she jumped.

“I don’t know what you want me to say,” she yelled up at the threatening sky.

“Yes, you do. Now run,” I bellowed, my voice coming out like a thunderclap.

With a yelp, she took off, and we were after her once more. The rain was coming down so hard that it slashed sideways, making her torn shirt flap around her. I pulled up parallel to her, my long strides easily eating up the ground to keep pace. Her long hair was mostly out of her ponytail and plastered across her cheeks. Her gait was tentative, but not because she was scared. I knew the difference. I’d hunted enough. She was avoiding branches and rocks.

Her step was high, and despite the boots, she was light on her feet, like a deer scampering through the woods. I loved it. She was different…I wanted to keep her. I licked my lips as she leaped over a log and looked in my direction. Our eyes connected for just a second, but it was enough.

Our Sweet Daisy wasn’t terrified. She was lit up from the inside, and adrenaline coursed through her veins. Every frantic beat of her heart screamed that she wanted to be chased. She was running for us, not from us. I could feel her excitement, hear it in her heavy breaths, and see it in her eyes.

She stumbled once, cursed under her breath, then pushed harder, but she slowed as she tired.

Dash howled, the long mournful sound echoing off the trees. That got her going again. Arms pumping, I watched her and couldn’t wait to get between those strong legs. She wanted us to catch her, but was making us work for it.

Behind me, Dash’s laugh cut through the storm. “Fuck, listen to her…she’s choking on us already. She’s going to look beautiful with my cock down her throat.”

I bared my teeth under the mask. I’d chosen her, and he wanted to rattle me.

“She’s mine, not yours,” I snarled back.

He chuckled, the sound hungry. “Then I’ll enjoy breaking her in for you.”

A growl ripped from my chest. “She’s not yours to break.”

Jaxon laughed, drawing my glare. “You fight like pups over scraps. She’s chosen, and that makes her ours. Not for one, but for all.”

“Whatever,” I grumbled. Jaxon wasn’t wrong, but I’d very quickly grown possessive over her. There was no logical explanation for it, but the thought of another man touching her skin…no…she would be claimed. I wouldn’t let her go until I knew she would never sleep without seeing me in her dreams. She’d never touch herself again without wishing it was my cock splitting her open.

Lightning snapped above us and hit a tree nearby. It was so close that the antlers of my mask sizzled. Sweet Daisy screamed, covering her head as sparks flew in all directions and leaves and branches fell to the ground.

She glanced in my direction, and I smirked. My Sweet Daisy was sexy with that terrified look in her eyes.

Jaxon got right up behind her and yipped like a coyote on her heels. She squealed, veered off the path, and right onto the one we wanted her to run along. Unbeknownst to her, she was heading directly for our cave.

She kept glancing over her shoulder like she was waiting for the moment we’d drag her down. She knew it was coming.

“Say the words,” Dash repeated.

“Say them and you can stop running,” Jaxon added.

Our Sweet Daisy was so close to letting go and giving herself over to the dark desires that coursed through her blood.

“Do it…say it now,” I growled out the order.

Sweet Daisy screamed, throwing her head back as she yelled at the storm. Her voice was raw, and her words seemed to be torn straight from her gut.

“I came back because I want you! All of you,” Sweet Daisy bellowed.

My cock thickened as my muscles surged. I broke from the shadows, barreling down on her. She was mid-stride when my arms locked around her waist, and we slammed into the mud. Her cry cut off as the air left her lungs.

“Mine,” I growled.

Rolling over, I easily pinned her beneath my weight. She bucked her hips and grabbed at my legs, making me groan.

Mud streaked her entire body like she had become one with the earth. What remained of her shirt clung to her like a second skin, translucent and showing her bra underneath. I didn’t hesitate before tearing it off.

Sweet Daisy gasped and shoved at me, but it was a weak attempt. There was no real desire to escape.
