I pulled into one of the vacant spots and grabbed my duffel. I couldn’t help wondering how things were going with Rook and Elewyen, and a bit of guilt settled in my stomach that I’d left them to figure it out while I took off. But Rook was the number one, and she was drawn to him, which meant the connection was already building between them.
I hoped that things would strengthen when we moved to Glentruan. I knew that for any real future with Rook and Elewyen, I needed to move away from Injerbreck and Mari. There were too many memories tied there.
I jogged up the stairs to the metal doors, raising my hand to knock when I heard the deep thud of the massive lock clicking free. William, the servant who had worked this castle long enough to see multiple generations come and go peered around the corner. Another beauty and mystery of the castles were that they all held back time. Well, they couldn’t hold back time, but it certainly travelled much slower when you remained on the property for long stays.
“Master McGregor, what a sight fir ole eyes. Come on in,” William said, then pulled open the door for me to enter. “To what do we owe the pleasure?” William spent a lot of time overseas and in other Factions as he travelled the world, his accent sounded crisp and clean to my ears.
“I’ma callin’ a meetin’ of all dose on da council and those of da next generation. We ‘ave trouble brewin’, I’m afraid.”
“Aye, there has been some strange things happening for sure,” William said as he ran his hand through his white hair.
I used my thumb to gesture toward the door I’d just come through. “Dat be why da guards be actin’ so strange?”
“Aye, we had someone sneak on the property not even a night ago and kill a guard and set fire to one of the sheds. Looks to be like they tried ta set fire to the door, but the magic that protects this castle was much stronger than they realized.”
“Did ya catch ‘em?”
“Sort of. Before the guards could grab him, he doused himself in petrol and lit himself on fire.” William shook his head. “I have not see a person burn in years. It is not something I care to see again any time soon.”
Reaching out, I placed my hand on the old servant’s shoulder. “I’ma sorry ya had ta see dat.” I let my hand drop as William gave me a sad smile.
“Thank you, Master McGregor.”
“Where be Caleb and Lochlan and everyone else? I taught they’d all be here by now.”
“Lochlan just arrived, but he be in a fine mood and has retreated to his room. He said it was for the night and that he’d be up for the meeting in the morning. He also said, and I quote, ‘do not to fuckin’ disturb me tonight’.” William smirked.
Lochlan could be bristly at the best of times, but when he was thrown off his schedule or there was shit on the horizon, he got extra grouchy.
“As for Master Caleb, he can be found in his room with…a wee bit of a party on the go.”
I rolled my eyes, knowing what that meant. Caleb loved to pretend he was in a harem, and as I made my way up the stairs, the thumping of the music was all the confirmation I needed to know what I would walk in on. Caleb also had no shame and left the door wide open for whomever happened to be wandering past to watch. He’d horrified his sister and mother enough that they never came to this end of the castle anymore.
Poking my head in the bedroom, I couldn’t help but be in awe. Caleb stood in the middle of his bed with weapon straps on his body, and nothing else. His wrists were tied with black rope to a pulley system on the ceiling. There was a girl hanging onto the ropes with her legs wrapped around his head, while his face was buried in her pussy. Two more girls were enthusiastically servicing his cock. But it was the three guys behind him fucking in a train that had me shaking my head in complete wonder.
I would never say it, but the guy was a legend. Even I was envious, and I was never envious.
“Oi, asshole,” I called out over the music and moaning.
Caleb lifted his head from between the girl’s legs and peeked over her thigh. “Rhys, come in and join us. I gotta few ta go around.”
“I’ma paired now. I cannie play with ya no more,” I said dropping my duffel on my way to the bar Caleb had in his room. Pouring myself a healthy dose of scotch, I wandered over to the small couch and sat down. “I be sure ya’ll find out what dat be like soon enough on one of da next ritual moons.”
I visited a time or two and played with Caleb and the groups of men and women he always had at his beck and call. The castle should’ve been named the Palace of Lust. You could end up staying for days and crawling home with a cock that no longer worked and a head pounding like someone was inside your skull playing bagpipes and drums.
The girl on his shoulders began to scream and moaned loudly as she very dramatically came on his face. When she was finished, she flopped off his body to the side, narrowly missing the two girls kneeling at his feet.
“Gimmie a min,” Caleb moaned out. “Yeah, dat be it right dere,” he said.
The men behind him picked up the pace, as did the girls sucking him off. It was like a dance performed so many times that they knew exactly what was expected.
“Fuck, aye!”
I averted my gaze from the passion-filled bed before I was tempted to join in. I still had the semi-hard-on from touching Rook. It had been unbelievably difficult to leave him standing in the closet and not do more. Every touch we shared was linking us closer. I swore the reason my head hurt earlier was because of Rook hitting his head on the wall. I hadn’t put it together until he explained what happened when Elewyen tried to escape.
The moaning, gasps and odd screams of pleasure continued, but my mind was elsewhere as my eyes remained unfocused on the portrait of Maughold castle on the wall. Unfortunately, the image kept wavering and all I could see was Rook’s blue eyes. I had to pinch the bridge of my nose and think of all those dying to clear the images that continued to plague me.
I startled when a drop of liquid hit my hand. I looked up to see Caleb standing beside the chair, topping up my glass.
