“Yeah…but….” Ava didn’t wait and marched under my arm, right past me, into my home.

This girl should be an assassin. She’d confuse the fuck out of everyone before she slit their throat and would probably do it with a smile. Mathers didn’t need a whole biker club. Fuck, I didn’t know why he even needed my help. All he had to do was unleash this ball of confusion and his problems would be solved. “Come on in, why don’t you.”

Slamming the door, I marched into the kitchen, where Ava was already rifling through all my cupboards.

“They’re in this one,” I said, opened a cupboard on the other side of the kitchen, and pulled down the four bags of cookies I had. They were nowhere near as good as what Dora would make me, but they filled the gap.

Ava smiled and grabbed all the bags before skipping away into my living room. Was this really happening, or was I having another night terror? It was hard to tell. I slowly wandered into the living room just as she flopped down on the couch and hit the remote.

“Oh no, no…” I marched across the small room to grab the remote control, but it was too late.

The television flicked on and there was one of my latest kills on the screen, their face frozen in a terror filled scream along with where I’d paused the video. I’d planned on enjoying this in private when I could jerk off, but apparently that was no longer happening. Ava hit the play button and the sounds of screaming filled the room along with the roaring crackle of my fire.

Like a moth to a flame, my eyes were drawn to the television, and I had to bite back the groan as the fire slowly closed in like a beast stalking its prey. My cock thickened instantly, and I really wanted to put Ava under my arm and kick her out, so I could enjoy this and then go shower.

“Wow, this is a great movie!”

Eyes snapping back to the little blonde, I looked her over as she stuffed two different flavored cookies into her mouth at once. Her eyes were transfixed on the screen, and as the flame began to lick its way along the man’s jeans, she laughed and stood up, cheering.

“Whoop, whoop, whoop,” she yelled with her fist in the air.

It was like she was watching an imaginary football game, not someone burning alive. Well, this was as entertaining as anything else, I guess. Consider me thoroughly interested to see what she would do next. Making my way over to the large recliner, I sat down, and my gaze flicked between the guy now swatting helplessly at his jeans as they melted to his body and the girl on my couch. I wonder what she’d think if I told her I masturbated on that couch.

“Ava?”

“Yes, Dragon,” she answered but never looked away from the screen.

She pointed at the screen, and little crumbs fell from her mouth as she tried to talk again around the latest cookie victim. “This is a good part.”

“Yes, it is.” Leaning forward in the chair, I tried as best as I could to get her to focus on me. “Why are you here?” She blinked, and those grey eyes found mine. It was like staring into a bottomless pit of confusion. “Do you know why you’re here?”

“Well, duh,” she said, and then screamed and threw both hands in the air. “Gimmie a B, B. Gimmie a U, U. Gimmie an R, R. Gimmie an N, N. What does that spell? Burn him.”

She waved her arms around and jumped, managing to do some sort of cheerleading splits thing, and sent cookies flying in every direction. She landed, looked around at the carnage of broken cookies, and her eyes filled with tears.

This was one of those very rare moments that I wished I’d paid more attention in therapy. I might have known what the fuck to say or do.

“It’s okay,” I said softly and took a step toward her.

“Don’t move,” she said and held up her hand.

My foot froze in the air, midstride, as she dove to the ground and grabbed the cookie piece I was about to step on. She dusted it off and shrugged before putting it into her mouth.

“I’ll go get the broom. And clean up this mess,” I offered and left to get the pan and broom.

I was bent over in the pantry when the light tapping noise closed in. She could play the part of Chucky or maybe that Annabelle doll because she was that fucking freaky as she tiptoed up behind me. I looked over my shoulder, and she was standing no further than a foot away. Habit had me watching her hands to make sure she didn’t have a weapon. Maybe I’d worn out my usefulness, and Mathers intended to have this girl off me.

“I’m gonna make you new cookies,” she exclaimed and then stepped over the top of me to get into the pantry.

“That’s okay, Ava. How about you just tell me why you’re here, and then you can get going. I’ll even give you money so you can go and buy as many cookies as you want. How does that sound?”

“Nope. I’m going to make you cookies,” she exclaimed.

Great, sounds wonderful. Shaking my head, I stood with the pan to go clean up the mess and returned to the living room.

“You don’t have any chocolate chips, so I’m going to make peanut butter,” she said from right behind me.

“Fucking christ all mighty. Could you stop doing that?” I said and turned, but she was already flitting off and not paying me any attention.
