“I miss you, love you too.”

She stopped dead in her tracks and stared at his smiling face. He was smiling like she hadn’t seen him do in a long time. Even though she knew she didn’t love him anymore, the idea of him cheating and being so blatant about it in her home hurt. He glanced over at her, and his face paled.

“Who was that,” Minetta asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

“My mother, she said to say Hi and that she hates not seeing us more.” He patted the couch cushion beside himself. “Come here, babe.”

She nibbled her lip, unable to decide if he was telling the truth or lying to her again. She’d never known him to talk to his mother so sweetly, but… “I just came down to tell you I’m going to bed.”

“What? It’s early, and I thought I’d at least get a blowjob out of tonight. I did fix that tap in your bathroom like a week ago and haven’t gotten a thanks.” That was totally a lie. She’d made a delicious meal and bought him a case of beer as well as gave him a dreaded blowjob. She actually enjoyed sex and blowjobs, but it felt like work with him. Like she was prostituting herself out to have some help around her house. It made the entire encounter unpleasant.

“Are you joking right now,” she asked, a rare moment of anger creeping into her voice.

“What do you mean?” James stood and crossed his arms over his chest.

She mimicked his pose. “Let’s see. You make a key for my house without my permission. You stick my dog in a locked room and tell me I should get rid of him. Then you proceed to order pizza that I end up paying for, and I’ll bet there isn’t even a piece left for me.”

He shrugged. “I was hungry. You know how I get when I’m hungry and don’t eat.”

“Right, well, that doesn’t explain you swearing at me because I didn’t serve you a beer like I’m your maid, and now I walk in on you and the girl you have on the side, on the phone, in my home. My home. You didn’t even have the decency to go outside, or I don’t know, go home to your place.”

“Babe, come on, I swear that was my mother, and I only swore because the game was pissing me off. I was losing money on the game. I didn’t mean to take it out on you.”

“You always have an answer for everything.”

He walked toward her, his face pulling down in the same stupid fake frown he had since they were teens. “Babe, don’t be like that. You know I love you, and I’m sorry I was so distracted and rude when you got home.”

He massaged her shoulders as he leaned in and kissed her forehead. She could feel her resolve begin to weaken. “You know you’re the only woman I want. I mean, feel this.” He grabbed her hand and laid it over the distinct bulge in his pants.

James was still just as good-looking as when they were teens. She had been a freshman and he a junior when they met. Of course, he was the popular jock, and as the resident nerdy girl, they made the perfect cliché. It had made her feel special to be dating the hot football god of the school. His shock blonde hair was perfectly styled and didn’t have a spot of grey in it for being thirty years old. His bright blue eyes were still the sexiest she’d ever seen, and his tall body was fit in all the right places—yet she didn’t feel anything anymore. There was no pull of excitement, and the once fluttery sensation she’d get whenever he looked her way had flown away. When she tried to picture her future, she couldn’t imagine it with this man. He’d become a stranger with a face she recognized.

She pulled away from what felt like a stranger’s dick and gave him a weak smile. “I’m sorry, I’m really tired. It was a long day.”

“Fine, I’ll just use my hand again, just like last time and the time before that. I don’t know why I stick around,” James mumbled as she made her way up the stairs.

She paused, her foot hovering over the next stair as she tried to will herself into telling James to get out of her home. Shaking her head instead, she made her way to the bathroom. Why was she always so weak when it came to him? She’d become one of the girls that called in needing help, and the anger burning in her chest was directed at herself.

The image staring back at her from the mirror over the sink looked dull with dark circles under her eyes. Her mother would have said her eyes looked like two piss holes in the snow. The thought made her smile a little as she turned on the cool water and splashed some of it onto her face.

Why couldn’t she simply say what she wanted from people? Why couldn’t she do something for herself for a change?

Gripping the edge of the sink, she sucked in a deep breath as she made up her mind that from now on, she was going to be more selfish.

“Oh my God, yes!” the girl I was fucking screamed and then covered her mouth, knowing the drill. I smacked her ass hard as punishment for the noise, and instead of accepting it as what it was, she groaned and came all over my dick. I pulled out to leave her to her writhing pleasure and moved on to the next ass sticking in the air.

I didn’t bother to look at their faces, couldn’t tell you their names, race, or fuck if they were even actually women. It didn’t really matter. It was a hole to use when my dick got hard. It was an interesting and annoying feature of being on Earth for so long. The thing had a mind of its own and needed to be tamed. I’d tried beating it down with whatever was at arms reach in the beginning, completely horrified I couldn’t control the stupid bodily reaction, but that only seemed to make it worse. In fact, it seemed to like being smacked—fucking weird.

The issue was I was busy, so spending what humans called “quality time” with someone was a waste of mine. Being a fallen angel did have an interesting perk that both women and men seemed to fawn over and made finding suitable holes as easy as ordering my espresso—I could fuck for hours and work at the same time. It was a challenge now to see how many women I could service in the time it took me to finish my reports. Sex, money, and a bit of gamesmanship, it really didn’t get much better than that.

Once a week, a bed was brought into my office for the occasion, and the lines of women had gotten so long I invited Neven to join in the amusement. He was currently facing me, his own lineup of girls groaning and whimpering as he worked. Being only demon-born, he didn’t have quite the same stamina, and I could see the sweat trickling down his chest as his hips thrust fast into the braying woman with the strange dangling tag around her neck.

“Hey, shut that one up,” I bit out, and Neven reached forward, grabbing the woman by the hair. He yanked her up enough to clamp a hand around her gaping mouth as her eyes rolled back into her head with pleasure. “What is around her neck?”

“Oh, you like?” Neven held up the old chain with the large tag that seemed to be name identification.

“I guess. What is it for?”

Neven smiled wide as he dropped the chain and wrapped his hand in the woman’s hair, riding her hard. “The ones I really like and want to come back, they get a name tag. This one is Bianca.”
