I slide down my pants and search for a condom. “Fuck, you’re kidding me.”

Her sated eyes meet mine as she reaches out to me, hovering on top. “I trust you.” Her hands lace with mine and she brings our hands over her head, pinning her own self down. “Don’t finish in me.”

My hands tighten around hers and inch by inch, I slowly thrust until I’m buried balls deep. The slick sound from pumping in and out is intoxicating. She feels incredible and I know I won’t last much longer. “Lauren, I’m not.”

She pushes me up to sit so she is straddling me again. The dominant side of this woman keeps getting hotter. Lauren pushes her forehead to mine and slides back down, grinding her hips. My hands trail over her hip with a tight squeeze, holding her in place as I push in deeper. Her teeth nip my shoulder to stifle a high pitch moan as my thumb rapidly circles her clit. Her breath becomes ragged. I feel her tighten around me, but then she eases up and tries to fight it.

“That’s a good girl. Take all the pleasure you need from my cock.” I grip a fistful of her hair and tilt her head back. “Show me how good I make your soaking pussy feel.” I lick the spot behind her ear and her orgasm takes over.

My lap is full of her as she comes, but she continues to slowly ride me. “Lauren, I need your hand on my cock.” My hands grip her waist in an attempt to lift her off.

“Mmm.” She continues to move. “It feels too good.” Her raspy voice tells me she’s desperate for more. “I’m gonna come again.” Her walls tighten like the grip she has on my hair and her body stills along with her open mouth.

I collect her silent scream in a kiss as her body starts to tremor. I think of every fucking turnoff so she can bask in this moment and save it to memory. She’s beautiful.

“Lauren, if you don’t want me to come in you, you have to get off.” My voice is strained.

She gets off my lap and before I can reach for my dick, it’s in her mouth. Holy shit, this is the most erotic moment of my life. My hand meets the back of her head, and her hands tighten on my thighs, signaling me that she’ll take my load. Euphoria washes over me and I coat the back of her throat. She backs away, wiping her mouth with a smile.

“That was an interesting flavor combination.” She giggles and I can’t form a fucking sentence. “Best birthday ever.”

It’s then I realize the car has stopped and I can’t remember when we stopped moving. I look out the window and see we have reached our spot on the hill. We were too busy seeing our own stars than paying attention to the ones shining above on top of the hill. I open the sunroof and poke my head out.

“I know it’s chilly out, but come see this.”

“Wow.” Lauren looks over the city skyline and her eyes go wide like a light bulb went off in her head. “Oh, my goodness!” It’s dark but I see the flush in her face. “The driver. Do you think he knew what we were doing?”

“My driver, Mason, is paid enough to not disclose or comment on anything.”

“I should be more mortified at what he heard, but I’m too satiated to care.”

“Happy birthday, Lauren.”

Chapter 17

Lauren

I flop down on my bed in a towel and let out a huff. My energy has felt depleted lately. I reach for my phone, unsurprised how it’s void of notifications. I’m not active on social media, nor am I one to shoot out the first text most of the time. I’m perfectly content whaling in this spot, with a book that has taken me way too long to finish. Due to a crazy workweek, and Adam, I’m completely exhausted- especially after the other night.

Not that I’m complaining.

The man is clearly skilled in everything. Except for remembering to bring a damn condom along, but I don’t feel like our limo escapade had been on his itinerary. I debate about texting him to come over, but I need “me” time. I wish I was lazy enough to stay in bed for the next three days that I have off. It could be doable if Adam was here to keep my body occupied.

My thumb and middle finger twist the ring on my pinkie. Perplexity flows through my brain as I recall how he hasn’t treated me any different since our encounter with my past foster person. Parent is an overrated word since the majority of the ones I had been placed with were far from what parents should be. Lloyd and Marsha were as close enough to parents as I could get. Marsha was overly sweet until her passing, but Lloyd had remained detached.

Adam didn’t throw a pity party or ask me to go get help. Which is why I really hope our arrangement can obtain longevity. My gut twists, flashing back to his face as I uncovered my dark truth. He hadn’t asked much about my past with respect to our deal, but I could see the worry in his eyes. The question of whether I’d call us off if he pressed for more details. I may be guarded, but I can rationalize a person having questions after our encounter with Mabel. I would have been weirded out if he didn’t ask anything. He would have “sociopath” written all over him.

The giant bouquet of flowers from Adam holds a golden glow through the sun in the window. I wonder if our bright colors will die in time like the flowers. I shake my head to push the thought aside when my eyes land on the gift beside the bouquet. I can’t fight my smile. Rachel had sent a large balloon cluster along with, nonetheless, a new dildo. I have no interest in a tall, curled sea monster tentacle. Its texture seems appealing, but the thickness of a beer can is a bit too intimidating for me. The bright-blue color is a pretty contrast to the vase of flowers, so I’ve left it placed beside them. A work of art, to say the least.

My phone buzzes but I decline Tessa’s invite to join her in a fitness class. I feel myself getting skinnier than I’d like. I’ve been too busy to eat the proper number of calories that I should in my active life.

My phone goes off again and I accept the call.

“Hey, Rach.” I kick my feet back and forth. “I was just admiring my new table centerpiece.”

“Bitch, you should be using it.” Her laugh filters through the phone.

“Hard pass, but thanks.”
