I glared at him.

In response came his warm laughter. There was no doubt, he was crazy about me. “You’re an ass,” I muttered as I gently slipped his legs from my shoulders, then slowly eased from the viselike grip of his channel.

“No, no, don’t move. I don’t want you to move.”

Falling over on my back, I glanced at him and found his gaze locked on me. “Why’re you looking at me like that?”

“Tell me again you love me.”

“You have to wait now until the wedding,” I grumbled, looking up at the vaulted ceiling. It was a weird room. Still pretty, though, even without windows. All that was in it was a bed and a sink and a toilet.

“Hey,” he said, rolling to his side and putting his hand on my cheek. “Say it again. I didn’t mean to tease you.”

I just wanted him to look at me, like he was now, for the rest of my life. I would do anything, give anything, to make that happen. “I love you.”

“Yes, darling, I know.”

I growled at him. “You’re pushing it, Butler.”

His smile was huge. “I want to be Butler-Hunt if that’s okay.”

My brain had to process the new, and utterly amazing, revelation.

“Didn’t see that coming, did you?”

“I…no.” Never in a million years did I think—especially with him being a doctor—that he’d want to add my name to his. What a gift that was.

“And would that be—”

“I would love that,” I confirmed, my voice catching. “Yes. Please. Do that.”

His hand slipped around the side of my neck as he lifted to kiss me. I met him halfway, wrapping him up, and I would have rolled him over, but he smiled against my mouth.

“Why’re you—”

“There’s cum all over your stomach,” he said, chuckling. “We need to clean you up.”

“Me,” I said, gesturing at him. “You look like you were ravaged. Your hair and your… I mean, you’re not exactly fluid-free yourself.”

Apparently that was hysterical, because he lost it.

I got up to see if there was anything under the sink, because there was only one towel hanging from the bar, and it was a small one for hands. Thankfully, there was a small stack of washcloths.

“We probably need to carry these back to our room, right?”

That was funny too, because he laughed more.

“Are you all right?”

He sighed deeply. “You look ridiculous. Your shirt and jacket are still on, but nothing else.”

I patted the breast pocket of my jacket as I started to button my shirt. “I can’t take this off. Your ring is in here. I refuse to lose track of your ring.”

He nodded and lifted his right hand so I could see the simple band on his ring finger.

“What is that?”

“Your wedding ring.”
