This time there was no one to conceal my scream.
Rafe finished inside the condom and Cal pulled out of my mouth just before his climax hit. I rolled over, my body a livewire of nerve-endings and relentless pleasure and then Brock was on top of me, pinning my hands to the cushions.
“Three,” he whispered, slipping himself inside between my thighs. He rocked into me with deep, demanding thrusts, his fingers interlacing with mine. I whined with every stroke, wrapping my legs around the small of his back and locking my ankles.
“Fuck,” he breathed, lowering his head until his face was pressed against the side of my neck. “The things you do to me, Lauren. If only you knew the way you make me feel.”
I arched my back, my chest rubbing against his and he shuddered.
“I love you,” I whispered, my sanity slipping away. “All of you, every single one.”
Another pair of lips met mine, Cal’s from what I could feel. A hand stroked my leg and I knew that was Rafe. All of them, tethering me by touch. Brock’s thrusts grew even harder and I felt the crate beneath us give way and then give in. I’d probably have splinters in my back tomorrow but I couldn’t have given a milder fuck.
My body climbed higher and higher, coiled to spring until it snapped and I fell apart yet again, this one temporarily wiping my brain smooth. My only anchor was Brock’s voice, calling me back to reality after he came inside me too, breathless but steady as ever.
“Four,” he gasped, pressing his lips to my temple and keeping them there.
The silence that followed was so deep I could practically hear four heartbeats. It felt like the birth of something new and strange but perfect in its own right and I wished I’d caught this moment on camera, just for the four of us.
As Brock slipped out of me, Rafe and Cal reappeared on the scene, carrying everyone’s clothes. But we didn’t even bother getting dressed just yet, instead collapsing altogether with tangled limbs in the afterglow of the chaos that I was the nucleus of. Both physically and metaphorically.
Rafe’s phone rang from his jeans pocket, but just as he yanked it out, Brock grabbed it and gently tossed it onto a pillow further away.
“What do you think you’re doing?” he asked, sounding slightly worried.
Brock was completely relaxed, pulling me tighter against his body. “Don’t worry about it and if that prick calls again, ignore it. I’ll make sure you aren’t going anywhere. Trust me.”
And I honestly believed that there was no one more worthy of that trust.

“Clara! Come on in,” I said, welcoming my best friend with a hug.
“It’s been too long,” she said, squeezing me tightly before I closed the door behind us and led her to the watch office so she could take a look at the renovation progress.
“It’s been three weeks,” I laughed.
“Uh, yeah. And so much has happened since then. Hence why I decided to bring this bad boy along to join us for dinner,” she said, reaching into her canvas tote to pull out a gorgeous-looking Cabernet Sauvignon. I chuckled, linking my arm with hers.
“Excellent. I still have our last bottle chilling in the fridge,” I winked.
“The more the merrier, especially if we’re a dinner party of five,” she said.
“Speaking of, please ignore the mess,” I said, helping her sidestep pieces of plaster and random bricks among other things. “With the new blueprint for the museum and everything, the guys have had to essentially re-screw the house. Worth it though, of course.”
“Of course,” she agreed. Her face lit up. “Which actually brings me to the news I came to tell you.”
“It can’t wait until dinner?”
“I’m honestly too damn excited,” she admitted.
“Well, you may as well make a single announcement, then,” I said, nodding in the direction of the construction sounds.
She hummed her agreement. When the guys saw her, they immediately stopped what they were working on to greet her.
“Clara has some news for us and it can’t wait until dinner,” I said, looking at her expectantly.
