Reaching into the console drawer, without letting up my almost harsh pace, I feel around for what she doesn’t think I know is hidden here.

My fingers close around the little pink object before I slow my thrusts slightly and brandish her vibrator pen like a weapon.

Her eyes blow wide, her cheeks blushing furiously. “How did you—”

I grin sardonically. “There’s not much that gets past me, baby.”

When I press the button, the pen hums to life as I build up my momentum once more. I press the pen against her swollen clit, flicking it back and forth across the engorged nub in time with my pistoning hips.

Mila immediately shatters all over me. “So deep, so deep. Fuck, I’m coming!”

“Come for me. Break for me, baby.”

Her pussy clenches hard, choking my dick with her sweet tightness. She cries her pleasure loud and long before I follow her over the edge, coating her insides with a torrent of my cum as I finish with a ragged groan, dropping my head to her bare shoulder.

We both stay there in contented silence, utterly depleted with bodies trembling and hearts racing.

“That was…”

My voice fades, unable to find the words to describe how she affects me. How every time our bodies come together, it’s impossibly better than the last time.

“Yeah, it was.” Mila’s softly spoken words ghost the side of my face.

I lift my head, finding Mila’s hooded gaze as I close the distance between us.

Touching the tip of my nose on hers, I whisper, “I love you so much, Hellcat.”

Then I take her mouth in a long, languorous kiss as though we have all the time in the world.

Because we do. We have forever.

CHAPTER 37

NATE

Following our version of “hate sex,” I carry Mila to the bedroom and gently lay her on the bed before I divest my clothes. Once I’m down to my underwear, I climb in beside her and pull her close, inhaling her vanilla scent as I drift off to sleep.

I sleep so heavily and for so long that I wake up stiff the next morning.

The first thing that registers is the empty bed. Palming the Mila-shaped space beside me, I find it cold, telling me that she’s woken well before me.

“Hellcat?”

My voice rings through the suite with no answer forthcoming. Furrowing my brow, I swing out of bed and rapidly throw on some dark grey slacks and a white button-neck shirt, intent on finding her.

I need to check that she’s okay. I’d been rougher with her than I’d liked.

I’m almost positive I spied some light bruising on her delicate neck as we fell asleep. My gut twists with guilt, and my movements speed up in my need to see her.

Striding from my empty suite, I pound downstairs and find Johanna at the bottom.

“Good morning, sir. I hope you had a pleasant sleep. Monique won’t be a minute with your breakfast.”

I nod. “Morning, Johanna. I trust you had a nice day off.”

Her face lights up, fully intent on launching into a story or ten, but I get there first.

“Has Mila already eaten?”
