“I’ll jump off a building. You catch me. And—”
“Put on a dress.”
I blink and bring my gaze up to Vameer’s. “Huh?”
“Dress, my Little Human. Now.”
My knees wobble.
I’m not human anymore, but I love that he still calls me that.
And I don’t care if he’s being demanding right now. Whatever he’s thinking, I’m in.
Running out of the room, I jump down the hall and strip off everything as quick as I can. Then I pull on a pair of red panties and a low-cut dark green jersey dress.
I rush back into the empty kitchen.
My feet pause for only a moment, then I notice the breeze, warning me of the open front door.
I run to it.
Excitement, lust, and adrenaline twist in my belly as I hurry down the steps and onto the front yard.
He wouldn’t have left.
I know he’s here.
“Look out!” Vameer shouts, making his voice sound like someone else.
A red blur drags my attention up, and I spot him a split second before he drops to the ground and lifts me into his arms.
He presses his mouth to my ear. “I’ve got you, Miss.”
My heart thuds inside my chest as I hug his neck. “Thank the gods. What can I do to thank you?”
Vameer growls as he slides a hand lower and grips my ass. “Start by hanging on tight.”
I tighten my thighs around his hips. “Anything you say.”
His hand flexes. Then we shoot up. Straight up.
And up.
Five hundred feet. A thousand. Two. Three. Four.
The air around us chills.
Steam lifts off our exposed skin.
And as I exhale a cloud, Vameer presses his mouth to mine.
The cold air dances around us as heat builds between us.
I lick across his lips, and he opens.
Then he presses his tongue into my mouth.
I tangle one hand in his hair while reaching the other up and stroking his horn.
