“What?” I snarl. “Where?” I lower myself behind the man to look where he’s pointing.

My mouth opens to kill this idiot. But then I smell it.

The storm.

And then I see it.

Walking side by side. Through the shadows of the setting sun. Between the ancient trees. Are four men.

The Vadas brothers are in the middle. Robes billowing around them.

And two unknowns. One in nothing but underwear. Has to be a shifter. And a man with an ax who looks like a big human. So I have to assume he’s a fucking druid.

A hiss crawls up my throat. “Why can you never just do what you’re supposed to do?”

The humans inch away from me.

In less than sixty seconds, I should check in with my druid. But I won’t.

In less than sixty seconds, my guards will be here.

And in less than sixty seconds, Vameer’s final fight will begin.
