I mimicked positions with my hands, visualizing them in real life. I’ve had one threesome my entire life, but we kept it basic. Babs was out here having orgies. My back hurt just imagining what she did in the bedroom.

“I still can’t believe you have four partners—or pending partners—and I have nothing but heartbreak and forbidden women. I don’t like this timeline.”

“I say take what you want. I love Cinder, but you’re grown, Rory.”

“Everyone fears Cinder. Vesper is loyal to her and Widow…well she ripped my heart from my chest.”

“What about Crestview girl?”

I smiled, thinking about Hades. She was the enemy—Axel Morningstar’s daughter. Sneaking around on Devil territory was one thing, but sleeping with the enemy was breaking a slew of agreements. “If Axel found out I was on his territory, I don’t know what he would do. And God forbid Cinder found out. I don’t want to start a war.”

“The war isn’t your issue, Rory. You shouldn't be a casualty because Axel Morningstar and your sister hate each other.”

“She’s thinking about me, too. She found my Instagram. Is that a sign?”

“It might be, but you won’t know until you talk to her. You could DM her if you don’t want to meet in person.”

“I expected it to be a one-night stand,” I admitted with a blush creeping on my cheeks. Fuck. I didn’t know how to feel now that I was saying it out loud.

“That’s what I thought, too.” Babs rubbed her barely-there bump.

I was curious, but also mortified about the whole process. “So like, did you want all three of them, plus Cass to watch or? Like I need the details, babe.”

Babs laughed. “It was more flirty. Like I know their names and some of their classes. I met Sawyer in the library, and we would talk and flirt. There was a party that Cass took me to, and they were all there. Cass told me to talk to them if I liked them.”

“Swoon. I like her already. When are we going to meet?”

“Hopefully soon. I want her to meet my best girl. When am I going to meet a Crestview girl?”

I furrowed my brows. “Should I go see her again? Am I crazy to think a one-night stand means more?”

Babs shrugged. “If you felt a connection and the sex was as fantastic as you said, I say do it. You can’t have Vesper or Widow, so get someone you want who also wants you. If you go there and she says no? Well, at least you tried.”

“This is why you are my favorite.” I was going back to Crestview and meeting the woman of my dreams again. Hopefully, I wasn’t insane for doing this.

Rory

Iwas going to get myself in trouble, but I always liked things that were bad for me. Right now, I wanted a dark-skinned vixen with fiery red locs. It’s been a week since I talked to Babs about it, and Hades was still constantly on my mind. She felt like a sweet addiction, and I wanted to chase that euphoria. Was that how my mom felt when she was constantly high all the time? Hell if I knew, but I wanted Hades more than I should. It was a connection I felt only once with Widow and Vesper, but it was different with her.

Going to Crestview again tonight might be a mistake, but I needed to see her again. If she said she didn’t feel the same, I would accept defeat. It wouldn’t be the first time someone rejected me.

The best thing to do would be to go back to her house, but that would be weird, so I chose Tipsy Throttle, hoping she would be there.

I lingered at the bar waiting, but it was getting later and later. The men kept ogling me like a slab of meat, and I was close to punching someone if they dared get too close. Maybe I should have just gone to her house, but she might not even be home. I needed to get her number, but that would complicate things. Hell, coming here to begin with made it complicated.

When I was halfway down my spiral, a flash of red caught in my peripheral. Hades walked into the bar like she owned the place, and her gorgeous eyes met mine. She was shocked for a moment, until a smile tugged at her lips. She sashayed to me with determination in her steps as I watched her hips.

“What are you doing here?” she asked.

“Call me crazy, but I wanted to see you again.”

“See me or fuck me?”

“Why not both?” I purred. “I couldn’t get you off my mind.”

She tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear, her hand lingering on my cheek. “It must be contagious. What do you say I take you on a date, and then back to my place?”
