This here is something else.

We kiss.

And kiss.

Suddenly, clapping behind me.

I stop and push myself off her and stumble a step back.

“Epic show,” says my jackass of a brother. “Can I film?”

“Fuck you!” I shout at him as I stride towards him, punch him at full force into the face, and then walk inside.

“Someone can’t lose,” I hear Addy tell him with a laugh, patting his shoulder.

“I can lose!” I shout at her. “As long as it’s fair!”

“Oh, so you tell me you never took the shortcut and turned into the one-way?”

I open my mouth and close it again.

“Figured,” she says as she walks past me. “Now that we have sorted that, what about the bacon and ham sandwiches I was promised?”

I say nothing, because I am boiling inside.

“How many do you want?” asks my brother Addy.

“Enough so I can neutralize last night’s shenanigans,” she says. “At least two bottles of high-percentage stuff.”

Jackson laughs. “On it. And you, sis?”

“I’ll take your head roasted on a platter,” I say darkly.

“What did you do with her?” he asks, turning to Addy.

“Made her shower in a rich people shower,” she says, giggling to herself.

“Nice,” he says, “Can I watch next time?”

“I’M YOUR FUCKING SISTER,” I roar at him. Addy, however, walks over to him where he stands in the kitchen.

“First of all, I am not your male dickhead bestie you can joke with,” she says darkly, and a grin appears on my face. “Secondly, if you ever try to male gaze on me, her, or us, I promise you I’ll sneak into your bedroom at night and send a penis fish up your dick.”

His look is gold, because my brother, for the first time in his life, has no answer.

“Weirdly specific,” I say as I walk up to her from behind to take a beer from the fridge.

“Took it from a role I played,” she says, staring my brother down.

“Here,” I say and hold up a beer for her. “Just keep drinking; it helps with that hangover”

She takes it without a word and empties it in one go.

“I like her,” says my brother as we both watch her.

Yeah, me too.

Even if I hate her.
