“Cut this shit out!!” Greek yelled at us.

“If you weren’t my brother I swear I’d kill yo’ ass!!” I hollered at him.

Golden spit blood on the ground. “Fuck you! I did not make you stick your dick in Dallas! That was all on you!”

“But from the jump you filled my head with bullshit! You want me just a broken as you!”

Greek shoved me in my car and blocked me. “Take your ass home before I kill you my damn self then kill him. Try me.” He slammed my door then went to Golden.

I started my car and drove home laughing. I was done and I don’t mean because of the weed or Don Julio. My life felt like it was spiraling.

“I shouldn’t even allow you in.”

“If I leave then you don’t ever have to trip about me being around here again.”

Dallas rolled her eyes and moved out of the way so I could come inside of her condo. I wouldn’t necessarily call her my girl, but she did and I allowed her. It was something that did not bother me like many things now. I still did what ever I wanted with any woman I wanted to.

We started messing around last summer at a kickback. I had not seen or talked to her since I fucked her in my ride. That is when I assumed Story would not find out and when she did, I just knew I would keep her. I found a new dispensary to get my edibles from, and I ended the friendship between us.

At the kickback, Dallas was looking good, I’d accepted that Story was gone for good. So, I let Dallas pull me to the bathroom and I came down her throat. She jumped right back on my tip after and I did not stop her. Dallas was something to do like all other women I delt with.

“Where Aspen at?” I grabbed two Twix from the candy bowl she had on the table then I plopped down on the couch.

Dallas sat next to me. She had ruffle shorts on and a bra. Her curly hair was in a side ponytail with a big dumb looking swoop. I was high off some edibles, so it made me laugh a little when I looked at it.

“She’s at work, I’m off today. You would have known that if you answered when I called you last night. But I looked at your IG story, and you were at the strip club.”

“You stay on my story then get mad when you find what you are looking for. I ain’t come here to argue. I came because you’ll keep blowing my phone down and that shit a mood killer. Wanna go get something to eat?” My munchies were kicking in and since I know Dallas doesn’t cook, I wanted to go eat.

“Can we come back here after we eat?” She asked.

“Fa’sho.” I answered.

All that meant was she wanted me to bend her over and I was fine with that. Our so-called relationship was based off eating, fucking and her bitching at me about acting funny. Then we would do it all over again when I decided to come around. Dallas was easy to please and felt her position in my life had an important title.

“Sup mama, sup dad. My fault for not coming last month, work had me tied up. I bought you flowers, mama. Dad, I bought you a Detroit Lions mug. You would be proud of them this season. Not sure I can say the same about you being proud of me.” I stretched my legs out and looked down at my grey Mauri boots.

“Almost twenty-two and I feel like I am fifty and wasting time. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. One minute I woke up feeling on top of the world. Young, money out the ass, good-looking and healthy.

Then in fifteen minutes I’ll feel like shit and empty. I know y’all see the beef between me and Golden. It’s big and don’t seem to be getting squashed no time soon. Then there is Story, I am all twisted over her and do not know how to tangle myself free.

Do you know what would have been nice? If y’all would have looked out and sent her back to me. I know I made a huge mistake but damn. I don’t even get a chance to fix it. She is just gone?” I asked those questions aloud like they would answer me.

My emotions started to spill out, and I wiped my eyes before tears could fall. Then I changed the subject and talked about sports. I then talked about my plans to go look at the construction for me for my therapist office. I ended up staying with my parents for two hours. I left there and the sun was going down.

I could not wait for springtime because it would not get dark so early. I got inside my ride, turned the heat on low and drove off. The salt trucks finally did their job and made sure the roads were not slippery.

“Yo’ cuz!” I answered my phone when Blake called me.

I could hear what sounded like Siren clapping and screaming in the background.

Blake started laughing, “My bad about Siren. We closed on the house that we picked out.”

“That’s what’s up! Congratulations cuz, I know y’all geeked!”
