She rips open the condom with her teeth and saunters over to me with a hot promise in her eyes. And I can’t fucking wait to take her up on it.

Morgan is lying on top of me, still catching her breath. And just here, under her, I’m basking in the afterglow of my latest orgasm, tracing lazy patterns on her back.

I don’t think I’ve ever been this happy. I feel euphoric. Like I’m hopped up on drugs.

I remember this time when I was at Columbia, and Coop and Dom came to visit. Coop hooked up with this chick who turned out to be big into her drugs. Anyway, she took us to this party, and she gave us each an ecstasy pill—which, of course, was a very wrong thing to do.

Don’t do drugs, kids! Stay in school!

Anyway, I’d never done ecstasy before. I’d smoked weed and snorted coke a couple of times, but I’d never popped pills. But I thought, Fuck it, so I swallowed it down. At first, nothing happened, and then, all of a sudden, it was like everything changed. Everything became clearer and brighter. Like the whole world was in Technicolor.

I loved everything and everyone. I’m pretty sure I even told a homeless guy that I loved him and that he should come stay with me in my dorm after we left the club.

Basically, I was as high as a kite.

But, for that brief time, I felt fucking awesome.

And that’s how I feel right now, here with Morgan. Only this time, I don’t need to take drugs to reach that high.

All I need is her.

I know some of the way I’m feeling right now probably has to do with all the oxytocin and endorphins constantly flooding my system at the moment. But I also know that it is because of Morgan.

She’s perfect.

Honestly, everything she does is awesome.

She could fart, and I swear, I’d smell roses.

And you know what? I’m not even scared of the effect she’s having on me.

It’s in fact the total opposite.

I frigging love the effect she has on me.

Seriously, who knew another person could make you feel this way? Like I’m a king who’s permanently high on ecstasy.

I can’t believe what I’ve been missing out on all these years.

“You okay under there?” Morgan mumbles against my chest. “I’m not squashing you, am I?”

Laughter rumbles in my chest. “You weigh about a buck twenty, babe. I bench-press twice that at the gym. So, no, you’re not squashing me.”

She peels herself off my chest and sits up.

I can see her eyes carefully assessing me as she starts to chew on the inside of her cheek. “Wilder, I weigh one thirty-five on a good day. Is that gonna be a problem?”

My brows shove together in confusion. “No. But I’m interested to know why you think it would be.”

She shrugs, her eyes moving from me to stare out the window.

I sit up and take her chin in my hand. I tug her face back around to mine.

“What’s going on, babe?”

“Nothing.”

She says nothing, but there’s clearly something. Aside from the fact that she’s practically gnawing off the inside of her cheek, she can barely look at me.
